INTRODUCTION
Emotional intelligence is when there is an understanding of emotions of not just one own
self but others as well because that is very important for the people to understand. The
understanding of others emotions are like understanding their own emotions because they are
almost the same in everyone therefore before judging others or making a statement for others it is
very important for anyone to understand themselves and put the situation on themselves because
they will understand what the other must have gone through. There are factors which will make
the understanding of emotional intelligence much simpler which are having empathy, self-
awareness, motivation, self-regulation and social skills. These are few factors that help to
understand the factors of an emotional intelligence. The report will discuss these factors in detail
so that one can understand that factors of this concept because it is very important in everyone
lives. To guide a person with their thinking and behaviour it is very important to understand
there emotional intelligence so that they can be recommended the right methods to solve those
problems because if there is no stability in there emotional intelligence then they will not be able
to understand a lot of factors of life which will create a barrier for themselves in life.
REFLECTION
In the context of people management issues I can say that retention of top talent and
promoting diversity is a difficult task for the company. I saw that different employees have
different perspectives and needs which need to be considered for solving all contemporary issues
in people management. The main issue which I identified is retention of skilled workforce within
an organization for the long run. But with the help of an effective emotional intelligence and the
ability of a manager to identify as well as managing emotions of others helped me out in my
professional level to solve problems. I can also say that my skills of decision making, influencing
of people, motivation of people helped me out at my professional field. With the help of
influencing skills, I made all employees able to retain in the company. For retaining them I
identified their needs and demands and after identifying their needs I gave them financial and
non-financial rewards or motivation. I can say that in this context that satisfying employees can
help the company directly in accomplishing their goals and satisfying customers as well. When
employees feel satisfied and their all needs are being fulfilled then it increased trust and value of

them. Satisfied and motivated employees give their extra efforts to the company in fulfilling their
vision and objectives.
In addition, I can also say in the context of emotional intelligence that it does not only
help employers in motivating employees by understanding their emotions but also help
themselves in increasing self awareness, self regulations and self motivation as well. All this
awareness directly help an individual in motivating employees and solving all contemporary
issues with human resource management. I felt that by increasing all this awareness, I can adapt
innovation, changes and can also make employees able to adapt changes in an efficient manner.
This adaption helped me out in making my working environment more innovative and creative.
Emotional intelligence and the ability to understand needs and emotion of all types of employees
supported me in self development and building positive relationship with them. When employees
feel that someone understand their needs and emotions then they become more comfortable and
it also improves relationship with others. Improved relations' is the main key of the success of
the company. These type of employees are more likely to live with the company and support
them in solving other problems related to customers. When employees have strong relationship
with leaders and manager then they share their views and needs in a friendly and open manner.
By getting views and needs, I tried to make changes in some strategies which improved
processes of performing things in more innovative manner. Self awareness and self motivation
skills proved the more powerful weapon for me in my professional as well as in my personal
level. By having self motivation skill, I improved myself as per the needs of other. It gave me
several opportunities in solving problems related to my personal life.
I have analgised that her the existence of employees regarding there job profile and wok
behaviour have the different level of consistency which be able to have the bringing towards
vision thought which affect the business position and productivity of employee to major extents.
I have identified that the manger is and the existence of the leaders are able to have performance
of the better understanding in the in the possession of the emotional intelligence in more better
ways of existence. The company have tended the ability to makes the proper decision making in
regards to various aspects which makes the individual to have deeper level of undemanding in
the better implementation of strategic strategies. I have realized that sit helps me in making the
higher level of upgradation of standards along with in integrity and better communication skills.

employees more level of convincing me in self-development and building positive relationship
with them. With next to have there is better level of uncertainty that the business. through the
completion of this is have developed a clear understanding on the business environment. This
making the certain level of innovation in creativity in employee which is making the business
more level of prospective in ordering the employee more level of uncertainty which is making

It is very important to understand one own self before they can guide anyone else with
their problems because till one will not be stable with themselves till then they will not be able to
guide anyone else better. There are a lot of people who do not want to speak about there
emotions because it is a very private factor or a part of their lives therefore to understand that
factor one will have to understand their behaviour so that they can understand the other persons
emotional intelligence. Emotional intelligence is also known as emotional leadership or
emotional intelligence quotient or emotional quotient (Lopes, 2016). The five categories in EQ
are Self awareness which is when there is a realization of what is happening around regarding the
emotions and confidence of the person with that surrounding. There is a different take on things

from each individual and these are the true feelings of the individual towards things in the world.
Second comes self-regulation which is when there are emotional situations that time how does
the individual react and control their emotions which will help to understand the person better so
that the problems they are facing like depression or anxiety can be solved. Third is motivation,
which is that every individual has their own kind of motivation strategies for themselves so that
they can achieve their goals and objectives of life which are very important because this factor
shows the positivity of the person. There is a sense of commitment which can be studied of the
person, the motivation factor of the individual can make the emotional intelligence of the
individual be understood so that the people can improve those factors of the other individual
(Gabriel and et.al., 2016). Forth is empathy, this is a very important factor for the person who is
sharing there emotions with someone else because that factor will tell the about the person but
making that person comfortable with sharing all the emotions is also very important so there has
to be a sense of empathy which needs to be shown to the person who is sharing so that they feel
like there emotions are being acknowledged and they are being understood by the other people
(Mayer, Caruso and Salovey, 2016). If there will be no comfort for the person who is willing to
share their emotions then the person will not want to share as well and that will lead to more
problems in the future therefore it is very important to listen to those who are willing to share
their experience or their emotions with others. And the fifth and last one is social skills which are
supposed to be there in all the individuals like communication, leadership, conflict management,
team capabilities, influence, etc these are few very important factors which the individual must
have so that they will be able to survive in the environment of the nature. People who are having
problems which these factors they need help from a professional because those people will have
a lot of problems in life for which they will need some help or guidance of others to solve them
so that they those people can have happier life too (Lievens and Chan, 2017).
Helping one another and sharing experiences with one another is also a very good idea of
people because if they have gone through a rough time then sharing that problem and solution
through which they came out of it will help the other people to become better people which is
very important in today’s world (Wittmer and Hopkins, 2018). Though everyone wants to learn
things their own ways which is by trying the situations on themselves and not listening to others
who have gone through that situation. There are a lot of people who do not share their problems
or emotions because that makes the individual weak according to them but if they keep it within

themselves that will help them to have a peaceful life and a longer life to look forward to because
it is noticed that the people who do not speak about their own problems tend to have depression
or anxiety which is not a good sign for them because after these issues that can lead to serious
problems. It is never a good idea to keep the emotions locked up inside the body because that is
taking a lot of pressure on themselves which is not good therefore, they must try to take it out
(Caruso and et.al., 2015). Keeping emotions inside can lead to a lot of negativity because that
will make the individuals burst out at some point of time in their lives and that will spread a lot
of negativity all around. These factors are very important in the human resource department
because to make the internal and external factors of the environment healthy and to share a good
bound for the loyalty factor this is very important for the individuals to understand the
individuals who are associated with the organization or company (Karimi and et.al., 2015).
