and make them understand how to express those certain emotions and feelings (Verywell

4. Explain three strategies that can be used to build emotional intelligence.
One strategy would be to make a better understanding of the emotions on a regular basis. This
would help the individual in analyzing and expressing their emotions better. By doing this the
individual would make sure that their emotional intelligence is being built up.
Another strategy to improve emotional intelligence would be to understand the body language of

would be easier to under the emotions which are expressed.
A strategy using empathy can be used in which understanding the feeling of the other person and
talking about them is a big step. This can be used to build emotional intelligence and the
experience shared from the other person will show various feelings in different situations.
5. Explain how a manager with high emotional intelligence can assist in achieve
business objectives. Provide an example to illustrate your answer.
Managers usually are expected to have high emotional intelligence so that they can control the
personnel that is working in the organization. Employees of the organization will express their
emotions in various ways thus resulting in changed or irrelevant behavior. The manager needs to
control this by showing empathy towards them. Empathy plays a vital role that managers should
possess. By using empathy, the managers would be able to discuss the emotions of the
employees which are affecting their behavior (Rezvani et. al. 2016).
6. Explain the importance of recognising cultural differences in emotional intelligence.
Provide two examples of example to illustrate your answer.
There are various cultures that are present in an organisation. Emotional intelligence is presumed
to be different in each culture but this is not true in every situation. Emotions like anger, stress,
and frustration can occur with any person even though they are belonging to a different culture.
For example, if a person is being given a lot of work then they will feel stressed out. Another
example can be that if a team member is not doing their work properly then the other team
members may feel frustrated irrespective of their cultural beliefs.
