Developing Emotional Intelligence Skills for the Workplace
Introduction
The poster includes the issue of emotional
intelligence within own practices. This will shows
that own performance of EI and how it helps in
assessing own emotions. Also, there will be some
strategies to improve the EI skills by working on
main three issues in gaining benefits of EI like
communication, decision making and mental health.
Reflect on own EI
The emotional intelligence in own area of
work is quite positive due to having leaders
and mangers support. While working with
the premier inn, I have found that, I loose
control on some complex situations and
could not be able to take decisions. I have
good communication skills but I do not
know how to control own thoughts as I get
easily hyper. This is became the main issue
of emotional intelligence that lowers down
my performance at workplace. I have also
gone through with mental health due to a lot
of pressure at workplace.
Asses how to use or reason out about your own emotion
My emotional intelligence skills demonstrate that I have good ability to
work according as per the social benefits. I have ability to understand
others emotions and provide solutions to their problems. Therefore, in
order to keep up the good growth for self development, there is
requirement of controlling own emotions while giving solutions as it
must be in favour of organisation profitability. I can use these EI skills
in managing workplace situations due to which, I will be able to cope up
with life challenges. The issue of decision making and mental health
describes the uncontrollable emotions in which a person could indulge
in any unnecessary act of suicide or harm. Communication is being a
problem when emotional skills are not well developed in which, I may
loose self control on my voice.
Emotional intelligence skills are
necessary to improve within limited
period of time. It could be improvise
through make own mind peaceful and
surrounded by positive energy. I need to
medicate daily which will helps me in
keeping me positive. I can come up with
the issue of communication by
understanding customers perceptions first
and then be polite while tallying. I will
also ensure that I should eliminate mental
pressure and stress by engaging in regular
communication with employees. This will
helps in getting new ideas and burst own
stress to work effectively.
Conclusion
With the help of this poster, it has
identifying that communication, decision
making and mental health are some of the
issue of EI skills. These are the potential
benefits if an individual acquires this
skills by medication, self assessments and
spend time with co-workers.
