Part 1
Introduction
Depending on the managing and controlling capability of a person the emotional
intelligence is being analysed (Solomon, Costea and Nita 2016). It has been identified that the
skills of emotional intelligence play an important role in the case of analysing the emotion of
oneself as well as the emotion of others. It has been identified that depending on the level of
emotional intelligence the leadership practices in an organization is being developed.
Therefore this can be said that these skills have higher level of impact on the personal and
professional life of a person. There are 5 major principles of emotional intelligence such as
self-regulation, self-awareness, empathy, social skills and motivation (Austin and Saklofske
2014). Depending on these skills the nature and behaviour of a person is being influenced. A
self-motivated person is more cum compared to the others who suffers with the stress and
anxiety. Here the study has identified that the relationship between emotional intelligence and
career development. By developing the self-awareness, the person gets the chance to increase
the creativity in the workplace. On the other hand the study has mentioned passion as the
important element of emotional intelligence. It has been mentioned that the passionate people
always get ready to deal with the challenges they face in their life. A person without passion
and dedication will not be able to deal with the challenges and in this situations they give up
easily. In the year 1995, the famous psychologist
Daniel Goleman has introduced the emotional intelligence skills and its social effects.
According to the author, the emotional intelligence skill increases the patience of a person
which help to improve the listening skill Howard, Healy and Boyatzis, 2017. In the case of
helping others to control the emotion, the person need to be quite and cum. In the case of
developing the leadership practices in the workplace, the organizations focus on developing

the emotional intelligence skills. From the practical life, people learn how to gather the
knowledge and skills. This is considered as the running process, which cannot be developed
through training. It has been also mentioned that the cultural development in an organizations
also get influenced by the emotional intelligence skills. Grunes, Gudmundsson and Irmer
(2014) opined that the performance quality of a person is being influenced depending on the
emotional intelligence. It has been also mentioned in this study that the behaviour and
characteristics of a person is being influenced by the emotional intelligence practices.
Ego, anger and impatience are considered as the three important, influential parts of
human behaviour (Heckemann, Schols and Halfens 2015). Depending on these three
elements, the aggressiveness and arrogance are being increased, which impacts on the
internal and external development of a person. Therefore this can be said that this is very
important for adopting the emotional intelligence skills. By adopting the skill of emotional
intelligence, the person gets the chance to motivate others in achieving their goals and
objectives. The emotional conflicts are being solved with this skill. It has been identified that
in order to bring the creativity and innovation in the workplace, the emotional intelligence
skills are needed to be adopted.
Part 2
Practical activities
As emotional intelligence has a higher level of impact on the personal and professional
development, therefore this can be said that in order to bring the changes in the behaviour and
characteristics. Through the emotional intelligence workshop development, the importance of
emotional intelligence in the personal development has been introduced. Before starting the
workshop, I have introduced my team members.

After introducing my team I have clarified the importance of emotional intelligence in
the personal and professional development. We have clarified the aim of arranging the
workshop. After that I have started introducing the emotional intelligence. I have mentioned
that proper training is required in order to develop the emotional intelligence skills. This can
be said that these skills are required for managing and controlling the challenges in the
personal and professional life. This can be said that the rate of productivity and performance
of a person get influenced by the development of the intelligence skills. By continuing that I
have also mentioned that by developing the intellect of the person, the cultural relationship in
the workplace can be developed. Our main focus in the workshop was to aware people about
the importance of emotional intelligence in the daily life.
Not for the development if the only career. We believe that career is not life, it's just
the part of our life. We have also mentioned that in order to develop the skills, the training
and development process is not the sufficient way. Achieving the goals of his life is more
important in this case. The passion and dedication of the person help in the case of bringing
the creativity and innovation in the workplace. This has also been mentioning by developing

the skills of the person, the attitude and behaviour of the person get changed. This helps in
the case of managing ego and anger. On the other hand, it has also been analysed in the
workshop that there is a large number of people which have faced disappointing behaviour
from their teal leaders and managers in the workplace. This has created a negative image of
the managers in the mind of the listener. Therefore, it has been clearly understood by me that
the organizations to which the listener belongs to, is currently dealing with the issue
regarding the internal cultural management practices. In order to develop a proper plan for
gaining the emotional intelligence, we have a pendulum. It has been analysed that the positive
and negative energy have a higher level of impact on the process of emotional intelligence.
The positive energy is the symbol of happiness, on the other hand, the negative energy is the
symbol of sadness.

For making the workshop more attractive we have used different theories and models.
By using the pendulum of life diagram, we have highlighted both the positive and negative

energy. It has been mentioned that the positive energy in the human life increases the self-
awareness. With the increasing rate of self-awareness the level of self-motivation increases.
This is very effective in the case of controlling the emotion. Here we have also mentioned
that the importance of developing the positive energy in life brings the innovation in life. On
the other hand, the negative energy is very effective in the case of bringing the sadness in life.
In order to analyse the situational effects we have provided the example from our daily life.
As we all face faced various disappointing behaviour from our managers, friends and
families. In the starting point of the relation we find them helpful and perfect. After knowing
the people closely we get to analyse their negative studies. The rudeness and arrogance in
their nature disappoints us and arise the question regarding their perfectness. This increases
the negative energy. After long time when we get to know both the positive and negative
sides of the managers, friends and colleagues, we learn how to deal with the situation by
maintaining the balance. This is what the emotional intelligence stands for. I believe,
emotional intelligence is not about creating positive energy or reducing the negative energy.
This is about maintaining the balance between positive and negative energy in life. Here we
have asked few of the participants to provide their opinion regarding the emotional
intelligence. Some of them said that is very analytical process, all the skills are
interconnected to each other. Some of them has said that the motivation is the ultimate skill
which should be adopted by people, because by adopting the skill of motivation people will
be able to learn how to deal with the challenges.
We have also analysed that passion and dedication are the two important part of
emotional intelligence. This helps a person to learn how to deal with the difficult challenges
rather than stepping back. As this process is interconnected with the communicational skills,
therefore people need to focus on bringing more interactive. Through the interaction process,
the cultural development can be brought. I believe this is very effective in the case of

controlling own and others emotion, this will increase the quality of managing people. This
will be helping in the case of developing the career graph. After completion of the workshop,
review from the participants has been collected. I believe, the initiative which has been taken
by us was successful.
Part 3
Conclusion
In the above study, it has been analysed that the skills of emotional intelligence are
required in developing and managing the capacity of a person in life. This has also been
identified that by developing the skills, the person will be able to analyse oneself and others
emotion. Here both the positive and negative energy of human has been analysed. It has also
been analysed that in order to develop effective leadership practices, these skills are very
important. I have also analysed that people can learn their skills from their personal
experiences. I believe, if a large number of people had been involved in the workshop, it
would have been better to understand. On the other hand, I have also analysed that if I had
asked anyone to express their personal experiences in their workplace, this would have been
more interactive and interactive procedure. From the practical examples, the matter would
have been cleverer for the listener. I have also analysed that emotional intelligence is the
ongoing process. People gather the skills in the different phrase in their life. In this case, the
study has also highlighted the balance between the positive and negative energy in the human
life. As per my knowledge, the workshop was very effective, but I believe, if the application
had been shown in the better form, it would have been better for the people. It has also been
mentioned in this study that if the emotional intelligence practice is developed properly, this
will be helping in the case of motivating a person in achieving the goals and objectives. On
