After dividing the direction, there are 3 activities that have to be performed. To start the
activity, everyone has to pay their attention to the four comas ends which are posted at four
corners of the rooms and the employees would be asked to read the description of the direction
and stand in one of the direction which best describes their personality. The point that they
choose will remain their standing point till the end of the activity. After everyone has taken their
position, the employees would be asked to look into their ides carefully. After that three
individuals will be selected for the role of the recorder, timekeeper and spokesperson. Once the
selection is done, each of the group will be asked 5 questions and they would have to respond to
each question by using 3-4 adjectives, the questions are:
1. What are the strengths of the style chosen?
2. What are the limitations of the style chosen?
3. What style is most difficult to work with and why?
4. What people all directions should know about one another so that they can work
together in an effective manner?
5. What is the one thing that all the directions admire about each other?
Some amount of time has to be provided to each of the groups so that they can respond to
each of the questions. The results might show that north get impatient about the fact that West’s
approach is too detailed and time consuming. West might get frustrated with the fact that North
takes late action. South might feel disappointed when the emotional needs of every group are not
met and the East might get frustrated with the fact that the West gets held up in details and also
that the North jumbos into big tasks without discussing on the bigger plans. At the end of the
activity, each group has to be given some time to share what they think were the positives and
negatives of the game. There are certain points that should come up during the activity, if they

the activity has increased their awareness of their and other’s preferences. This point should be
included because increasing the awareness among the members also increases the empathy
among the employees. The employees should be able to point out their strengths and weakness as

the activity, at that time, the employees should be asked to recall about one of their past
experiences, which was either positive or negative. They recall the incident and keep it to
themselves. The employees should be informed that they would have to talk about that
experience later so they should choose an experience about which they are comfortable talking.
After this, once the employees have shared their responses to the questions, then they would be
asked to talk about their experiences, the once they were asked to recall. Then after they have
shared their experiences they would be asked whether this activity that they did help them
understand the previous experience better. The main idea behind doing this activity is to
encourage the employees to talk about their leanings from the activity and apply it to other real
life situations. After this then again the previous last step sharing their takeaways will take place.
The third activity is for 45 minutes, this activity would be added before the background
information and before shifting to the second activity (www.kqed.org, 2015). This activity would
