INTRODUCTION
Career development is defined as a procedure of choosing a career in order to improve all
skills and enhancing overall career path. It refers to a method through which a person revolves
around their occupational status. There are various ways through which a proper career
development can be set up like in relation with setting up all objectives, developing a timeline,
using all necessary programs and many more (McWhirter and McWha-Hermann, 2021).
Employability is in context with the work as well as the talent to be employed. There are various
skills and abilities which are needed in every job. It includes the development of overall
knowledge and the mindset which is very attractive to all workers. The report is based on career
development and employability on the basis of curriculum vitae and aptitude testing. It also
includes reflection on the basis of assessment followed by conclusion.

Curriculum Vitae:-
It is defined as a professional document which includes the information with respect to
individual education, experience and undertakings. It may also include person hobbies,
their field of interest and so on. It is mainly used when a person apply for academic,
scientific or educational positions. While applying for certain jobs they must have
curriculum vitae.
Curriculum Vitae is crucial for career development as well as employability because with
the help of that an individual creates an effective impression in front of other employer. It
enhances more chance to get selected for a job. Recruiters always judge an individual on
the basis of their CV as they get to know about their personality.
Curriculum Vitae should always be simple and short so that it becomes easy for other
person to read it. It should also be relevant which much include all key skills, the overall
experience and so on ( LópezMiguens, Caballero and ÁlvarezGonzález, 2021).The
most important strategy an individual should apply while writing their CV for
employability is its style. Its overall appearance and layout should be within a proper
format. It should contain bullet points and usage of sub-headings also. It should always
show that a person is positive in nature.
Aptitude testing
It refers to an exam which is done in order to identify individual skills to achieve success
in a specific task or an activity. In relation with the phase of career development and
employability recruiter uses such tool in order to identify all strengths and weakness of
candidate as per the position for which they have applied.

aptitude tests candidate in-depth results are find out and whether they are effective for the
specific position or not. It also helps a candidate in assessing about their career path with
respect to overall employability. As career development is very much important for an
individual so with respect to these aptitude tests provide them the way of assessing

There are various tips which should be applied in developing aptitude tests like the main
focus should be on the weakest areas and maximum time and attention should be given
on that ( Khalid, 2021). It will help all candidates in their career development and
employability because on the basis of that they will improve their weakest areas. Through
this their skills also gets developed in formulating overall career path.
Assessment reflection
The assessment which I choose was aptitude test based on my career aspects. I decided to
apply this test because on the basis of this only I would be able to assess and find out all
my strengths and weaknesses. The main reason behind selecting this assessment test was
that as i need to choose my career path and apply for a job it was the only beneficial thing
for me.
When I evaluated my results I was able to find out my weakness in certain departments
and also assessed my strengths and on the basis of that I was ready to choose a specific
career path for me. By analyzing all the results it was seen that my strength level got
more enhanced.
With the help of those results I will use them in my career development for applying for
the job as well as at the workplace. Through aptitude test I was able to evaluate all my
strengths and weakness and I efficiently applied all of them during my career also.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it is been concluded that for an individual choosing a proper career
path is very much necessary. It is crucial to enhance career development and all employability
skills. There are various which are involved in developing the career like curriculum vitae,
aptitude testing and many more. In context with Curriculum vitae it is one of the most important
things to apply for a job because on the basis of that only an interviewer judges a candidate. It
should be designed in a proper format and must include all the skills and certifications. With the
help of aptitude test a candidate is able to assess about certain strengths and weaknesses and on
the basis of that applies for a specific position. Career development and employability both are
the efficient elements for an individual because on the basis of that person is able to choose a
right career path.
