LSST FY026: Reflective Summary on Employability Development Portfolio

This portfolio presents a reflective summary analyzing how ten artifacts supported the development of employability. The artifacts include photos of work, a SWOT analysis, a personal development plan, reading logs, resources for job hunting, academic resources (BNU E-library), job descriptions, personal specifications, and a blog on preparing for the future job market. The SWOT analysis helped the student understand their strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats, setting the foundation for a development plan. The personal development plan utilized SMART goals and timelines to achieve objectives, supported by reading logs to track learning. Job hunting resources and academic resources like the BNU E-library were crucial. The analysis of job descriptions identified required skills, while the blog emphasized the importance of continuous learning and adaptability. These artifacts collectively prepared the student for future employability by addressing dynamic recruitment criteria and the need for evolving skills.

Reflective summary

HOW AND WHY 10 ENCLOSED ARTEFACTS HAVE SUPPORTED THE DEVELOPMENT
OF MY EMPLOYABILITY?
The 10 artefacts are photos or Samples of Work Produced in PSKC Class, personal SWOT
Analysis, personal development plan, reading logs, resources for job hunting, academic resource
i.e. BNU E library, job description and personal specification along with a blog on how to
prepare for future market. The accumulated results of these artefacts on my preparation for future
employability structure is efficient. My personal SWOT analysis helped me in gaining an
understanding of my strengths which I can use to be prepared for future, my weaknesses on
which I have to work in order to be prepared for future employability, all the opportunities that I
have for future and all the threats that I can face in my future. My SWOT Analysis established
the outlines for future development course of action. Personal development plan included the
analysis of all the dynamics and on the basis of the results determination of personal growth
objectives. Based on objectives my personal development plan also focused on the best course of
action that I can take in order to achieve the objectives I've set. It also focuses on the support and
the resources that I need in order to achieve my overall objectives. The objectives set in my
personal development are based on SMART methodologies making them specific, measurable
at any point of time, achievable, relevant and time oriented. The personal development plan also
helped in setting a maximum time frames for achievement of my overall goals. The personal
development plan also helped me set an estimated date for completion of my objectives. Reading
logs helped me keep a check on the things that I learnt from these the literature that I read.
Reading logs also helped me in developing a habit of reading regularly. The resources for job
hunting includes the courses that I went through in order to prepare myself for future
employability. It also helped me in identifying the advantages and disadvantages of reading that
particular piece of literature along with the conclusion drawn from it. The academic resources
also revolved around BNU E-library, which is was the only source of information post covid-19
situation. After covid-19 it is not physically safe for anyone to be at a library as one have to be
extremely precautions with every single book there and therefore BNU E-library helped me
study even at the time of pandemic. Analysis of job description helped me to identify all the
skills that my dream institution requires and therefore now I can prepare for the same. The blog
on how to prepare myself for future market helped me understand all the dynamics and helped
me in preparing myself against the same. It helped me in understanding the importance of

constantly learning and being flexible and adaptive towards foreign environment because it is
required in almost every dream organization I plan to join. Further it helped me understand that
employment recruitment criteria is constantly changing because it is based on highly dynamic
factors. Employers are asking for skills I didn't even knew existed. These all artefacts were
efficient in preparing me in accordance to future employability structure.
