EMPLOYABILITY HOUR ASSESSMENT
My aspiration as an undergraduate in finance, is to be a business analyst in a
leading company that nurtures future outlook in its perspective. My confidence is invested in
my ability to provide with analysis that are aiding in any complex business scenario. With
the ability to carry out effective and exclusive roles in analyzing problem, in my opinion will
be shaping as well as guiding my aspiration to be a business analyst. Complex industrial
scenarios are the domains where I aspire to invest my knowledge and creative output. My
aspiration behind taking up a challenging working environment as a working environment
will be aiding for me to guide my course of action in accordance to the challenges I am
faced with. In a whole my aspiration is to become a continuous learner who aspires to
develop her course of action in accordance to her ultimate career goal and develop as she
progress along that field in her ultimate endeavor.
As it has been discussed above my primary endeavor is to be a business analyst in a
leading developing company with complex and challenging working condition, that will be
able to provide me with opportunities to walk towards my target goals. The work of a
business analysis is to to work upon the strategies taken by the company, evaluate the
existing model of functioning in the context of contemporary scenario and work towards its
development in accordance to the goal and vision of the company. Business analysts are
effective in communication between the stakeholders of a company, if not intervene can
mediate an effective communication between them.
The job of a business analysts incorporates responsibilities like the initiating
effective communication among the internal stakeholder about the issues that are crucial for
the development of the organization and are capable of proving effective in guiding its course
of action. The role also involves communicating with external stakeholders and evaluate
the responses collected as a result of the communication. It is also important that the analyst
evaluate the need of the contemporary market and evaluate the status of the organization

involved in the light of the demand (Paul, Yeates and Cadle 2014). However, the challenging
part of the analysts job involves the risk as well as the effectiveness inculcated in the
strategies suggested by the business analysts in order to mitigate the challenges that are
precedent inn their context. Thus the job of a business analyst is marked by continuous
threats and as a speculative person, my interest in the field has developed because of the
challenges that are intrinsic to the job (Palepu and Healy 2013).
The position of business analyst is a demanding field and as an anticipated result it
demands the participations of candidates with designated qualification. Therefore, in such a
scenario it can be understood that the candidates backed up with a degree in the field of
business analyst or other related field are expected to have an upper hand in this domain.
Business experience is crucial to every working scenario in contemporary job sector.
However, it holds even true in case of business because of its prominence in the business
analysts in almost all business scenario. It is primarily because of the risk involved in the job
of business analysts primarily in the portion of decision-making. No company is willing to
undertake the risks, which might be precedent in the decision taken by a new business
analysts with meagre or almost no experience in the field where they have been appointed. As
a result, most of the organizations prefer that the business analysts has some prior experience
in the field.
As an aspiring business analyst, I personally think that I nurture the attributes that are
essential for every business analyst. In order to enumerate some I would like to recollect my
capabilities of analyzing complex business scenarios and being able to come up with
solutions that will be aiding for any company to mitigate their drawbacks and crisis. I like to
thrive in a working conditions where the scenarios are complex so that it can provide me
with challenges that I aspire for. Such challenging complex scenario will be guiding me in

my quest for fast paced working conditions that are dynamic as well. I also enjoy the
attribute of being guided by effective communication skill that will be helping me ,in
communicating with internal subjects as well as external stakeholder. Undoubtedly, in the job
of a business analyst, the communication is the most effective tool upon which the entire job
position thrives.
With the influx of globalization. Another newcomer in the field of business is the
technology and the dynamic nature of its advancement. This is field where I lack a ccertain
amount of expertise. Contemporary business scenario is primarily guided by information
technology. The world of communication has been digitalized where the virtual market
receives increased importance as compared to the real market (Darics 2015). Virtual media
platform has become the most important platform to mediate with the external stakeholders
as well with the target customers. It is also helpful for expanding the customer base on a
globalized scenario, which has been facilitated by the advent of information technology in the
business scenario (Dutta, Geiger and Lanvin 2015). As an aspiring business analyst, I feel
this is the region where I need to improve upon so that I can execute my job with its proper
effectiveness as it has been demanded from the position that I aspire and expect to thrive
when I have been exposed to the competitive scenario with that position.
My experience while tailoring my CV is obviously a retrospective one as it provide
me with scope to reflect upon the achievements I have made so far and allowed to figure out
the areas where I need to develop and improve. In my CV I have highlighted my positions in
the job that I had indulged myself in the initial years of my graduation. The first job was that
of a reservation supervisor that I had undertaken in the year between 1999 to 2002. I have
included the job in my CV, primarily because it marks my initiation as well as it acts the
reference point, that will be aiding me reflecting upon the progress that I have been able to
make till current time. The next job that I have included my CV is that of Receptionist at

Jury’s Doyle, London. My duty in this job was to perform the regular hosting duties along
with maintaining friendly and professional conducts with customers.
The next position that I have highlighted is that of Reservation manger which had
happened to me between the period of 2005 and 2006. My responsibility was to utilize the
system of the company involved with the management of revenue. I tried to ensure effective
gathering of information after which I tried to analyze them in order to maximize the
opportunity and minimize the risks involved. Formulating my CV, was in a way an exercise
for me to reflect upon my drawbacks and strong holds so that I can improve upon them and
utilize them to my full potential.
Networking is of crucial important as far the job of a business analyst is concerned.
Professionally I would prefer building network that would enhance me in my endeavor. It is
always suggested that professional network should not discriminate or bias with the people
with whom the contact is maintained. I would like build upon the networks that I have had
built during my work experiences as a receptionist, reservation manager and reservation
supervisor. I would like to enhance my network by including the people with whom I met in
the course of my action. An important person who deserves to be mentioned here is the
manager and supervisors at Ramada hotel. Apart from that I would also like to include in my
network my supervisors and guides from my undergrads. The choices mentioned is guided by
my urge to enhance my effectiveness and productivity. I believe, that by engaging with these
people and building my network around them will be undoubtedly beneficial for me.
