JOURNAL ENTRY 2:
Reflection on interview procedure
After completion of my graduation I have applied for the job through online job portals.
It was my luck that my CV was shortlisted and I have been called for the interview by human
resource department Tesco company. When I thought about interview the series of questions
comes into my mind. First interview was telephonic, where my interviewer has asked me simple
questions related to my education. At the day of Interview I have visited Tesco company I felt
very much nervous as it was my first interview. When I visited the conference room there were
four assessing staffs. The nine more candidates were called for interview with me and we all
were asked to give brief introduction about ourselves. While listening to the information about
background of other candidate (Nickson, Baxter-Reid and Hurrell, 2017.). I tried to understand
the way they would could apply for human resource manager position. This demonstrate the
active listening of mine. After completion of first stage, I was selected for the second round
group of candidates who were selected for this round was given with the topic to discuss, I was
part of that process, I was sitting and listening to other people (Sternquist, Huddleston and
Fairhurst, 2018). I have also shared my views but my participation was less than compared to
other people. When were asked about the question related to the fieldwork I was very much
eager to give answer. I have also noticed during group discussion that people were interrupting
each other due which I was facing the difficulty in explaining my thoughts clearly. At that time
also felt little irritated as well as pressurized. But still the views which I had share was strong

issue. I think that clear boundaries or policy can discourage this type of activity which can give
rise to ethical issue. I need to develop team working spirit (Tripathi, Gautam and Lal, 2017). I
