INTRODUCTION
Employability skills are the necessary aspects that an individual should have while they
are working in an organisation. These aspects are required to be analysed properly in order to
developing a professional behaviour. By identifying employability skill, individual can easily
enhance their present and previous working practices on the basis of new challenges that assist
them in grabbing desired opportunities easily (Jackson, 2014). This report is going to cover
relevant employability skills that I already have as well as major required credibility for getting
employment opportunities.
MAIN BODY
Relevant employability skill
Employability skills can be define as transferable skills and required in individual for
becoming employable. Along with, technical and subject knowledge, an employer often requires
some set of skills which they needed in an employee (Taylor, 2016). It is believed by the
employer's that employability skills help individual in performing their job role in better manner.
Respective skill playing a most important role in an individual's career development practices.
As a Supervisor, I need to analyse my skills and abilities which are needs to be based on my
working approaches for career development practices. These kind of activities assist me in
attaining several challenges easily. There are some of my core employability skill are determine
below as -
Communication – I am having good communication skills which is important as a
supervisor in hospitality sector for sharing important information or data with the employees
working in company. It is the skill which is required while handling large number of people in
group and also in solving staff member’s issues. Communication is two way process in which
one is sender and another is receiver but this entire process can only take place is when both of
them having good communication skills.
Problem solving – In an organisation of hospitality industry, several problems may rise
which have to be solved in proper manner so that it will not become big issue for anyone. Me as
an supervisor having good problem solving skills which assist me resolving issues through which
organisation or staff members are going on. Apart from this, it is necessary to solve problem so
that they will not become big issue and never give negative impact on the working of

Time management – Time play important role in life of individual as well as in
hospitality sector also for achieving goals and objective. With proper management of time
particular person can manage day to day activity in effective manner which result in success. I
have good time management skill which help me in managing mine as well as overall
employee’s work within required time period. Because in organisations of hospitality sector,
several projects come along with their dead line in this case time management play important
role in completing work within required duration.
Technology knowledge – It is the wide concept which update or advancement take place
in this on timely basis. As an employability skills it is necessary in individual to have easy
technology adoption so that things can be done in proper manner with the implementation of
latest technology. I as a supervisor have knowledge about technological factors which help me in
working and managing things in better manner, on required time period and also by maintaining
quality of products as well as services.
Team working – In an organisation team work playing important role in achieving its
goals and objective as well as in completing work on time in effective manner. In team,
employees are with different skills and knowledge help in doing work in more effective manner.
I as a supervisor have team working skills which assist me in doing things more effectively and
also in achieving goals as well as objectives. On the basis of this, I can easily manage my works
and others too.
Planning and Organising – It means what to do and how it will be done as well as
planning and organising include things like developing timelines of project and meeting its
deadline. I as a supervisor have planning and organising skills which help in managing particular
project or overall activity in better manner. Because without setting target no one can do work in
better manner and gain appropriate outcomes as per requirement.
Positive Attitude – It is important to have positive attitude in supervisor because shows
that I am ready to give my best for team. If supervisor have positive attitude in doing work then
team managing by him/her will also do things in better manner for gaining optimistic results. I
always try to react positively towards everything going in the company for gaining better results.

me it is required to analysing their point view as well as required skill of mine for getting desired
opportunities as -

in individual. Therefore, it is my duty to build an effective team that will work according to the

ability of mine properly that assist me in remain a effective employees in hospitality sector
company. Through this, I can allocate work to each employees according to their skills that will
increase the profitability of company. It will also help me in personal development and grow my
skill set to deal with any other opportunities arising within company.
Ethical and legal responsibilities – In hospitality industry, ethics and legal
responsibility play a most important role. Herein, organisation of this industry conduct their own
ethics towards employees and customers as well. Furthermore, The recruiter of hospitality
industry analyse individual's legal record before recruiting them in their organisation. They also
required ethical and legal knowledge related to companies. Thus, if I am working with
hospitality industry than it is my responsibility to use fair and true practice to conduct various
business activities and operation. It is my responsibility, that no confidential information is
leaked my by team member and other employees. By practising true practice I am able to

Thus, it is required for me to enhance several skills of mine. Through this I can easily get an
desired opportunity in hospitality sector. My interpersonal skill will also helping to my company
to run and manage their business operation in effective manner. I also have skill to communicate
effectively with my other employee and make them understand about their jobs and
responsibilities. With valuable communication I am able to provide necessary information to
team member and listen to their problems also. These skill set help me to develop more in my
personality and bring more efficiency to company operation.
Ability to lean and adapt – Business environment is dynamic on nature because of that
several changes take place which require that individual have to learn as well as adapt several
things. For gaining better employment opportunities it is important to have learning and adapting
skills so that new things can be learn and help in gaining better position in competitive market.
Confident personality – I believe that each an every individual should have a career
oriented personality that assist them to remain confident among others. This is one of the more
subtle factor which should be consider by recruiter while hiring a new staff member as well as
their commitment related to developing their own career and growing as a professional (Messum
and et.al., 2016). These kind of aspects assist in representing a positive impression in front of
services users. For working in hospitality industry, I needs to represent my ideas positively and
confidently in front of clients in order to getting their attention positively towards us. Through
this, I can develop a long term relationship with customers.

supervisor, it is required for me to representing my dedication through my work at my
workplace.
Practical experience – While in an organisation, it is required for individual's that they
having proper practical knowledge on regard their job role. I also needs to pay my maximum
attention toward supervising activities in order to analysing working and operational activity of
organisation properly. Through this I can easily providing quality services to my customers. A
recruiter of hospitality hire those candidate who is qualified in both sense theoretical as well as
practical. Focusing on the practical experience of potential staff member is key because they will
be able to integrate themselves more quickly and become familiar with the job. Recruiter analyse
practical knowledge because it result in time as well as money saving when it come on the
training process. So I needs to enhance my practical knowledge for getting desired opportunities
my specific working areas. If an individual don't have required practical experience then he/she
will need more time for fitting in and learning all the nuances of the job.
