INTRODUCTION
In this present world, it is necessary to maintain and sustain effective skills and abilities
which is related to efficient communication and leadership. In this light, a person has to develop
a set of responsibilities and objectives related to performance. This present report has been
framed in a view point of Travelodge company, engaged in the business of tour and travel sector.
In this regard, in this present report, various series of objectives and responsibilities of a person
for its own, is mentioned. Also, self-analysis has also been done, so as to deviations can be
analysed (Thompson and et. al., 2011). In addition to this, several motivational techniques are
assessed so as to make sure effective motivation and guidance to improvise quality of
performance in the premises of cited organization. Furthermore, several roles played by different
members of a team of cited organization to attain maximum customer satisfaction will also be
given effect. Along with suggestion of team dynamics, few alternative ways or methods, through
which tasks and team goals can be achieved, will also be discussed in this present report. In the
end, adequate and appropriate strategies to resolve issues and problems of labour turnover is also
elaborated in this present assignment.
TASK 1
1.1 Development of own set of performance objectives and responsibilities
It is a notable fact that own set of responsibility and performance goals are those aspects
which are related to self-management. In other words, self-management is a concept which can
be best elaborated as a skill of a person or an individual, which renders most possible result for a
particular job or task. In this regard, planning and organizing functions of management, is
considered as an effective and main objective and responsibility of self-management. In the
context of Travelodge, which is second largest hotel in UK, offering premium hospitality
services to its clients and customers across the globe (Webb, Miles and Sheeran, 2012). It is
implied that management is required to implement a set of objectives by which it can organize its
functions.
In context of Travelodge hotel, the manager realises its own set of responsibilities and
also set some objectives, which can be elaborated as:

I have to apply tools and techniques which can help my organization to achieve profit and
maximum customer satisfaction.
I have to plan and organize catering system, food and accommodation services.
I have to effectively manage marketing and promotional activities of my company so as
to attain set targets and goals of my company.
I have to make strategies by which costs and expenses of a company can be in control.
In addition to this, I have to effectively manage and supervise supplies, maintenance of
operations of company and also commence effective training sessions which can help
employees to attend customers and make them comfortable in the premises of their
organization.
Furthermore, in this respect, I am required to manage records of finance and sales.
Performance objectives:
In this regard, the manager of cited organization is desirous to attain profitability and
proficiency by its operations.
To render quality accommodation and food quality services to its clients and guests.
1.2 Evaluation of effectiveness in contrary of objectives
A person is required to assess his effectiveness and efficiency in respect of its goals and
objectives of a business corporation. Also, it is rendered as a vital part for an organization as well
as for a company, as it will help to determine perfect organization for working. In the context of
Travelodge hotel, the management attempts to develop and maintain effective ways and plan so
that so that personal responsibilities can meet defined objectives of an organization.
For performing the cited activities, the person is required to go through a planned and
systematic way, which can be elaborated as: Superiority and recognition of responsibility of self-job: Job of an individual will be
accepted by fulfilling conditions for services to its customers. In this light, it can also be
assessed that after identification of its skills and capabilities, he can achieve goals and
objectives in a better manner. In the context of cited organization, the management has
emphasised on its employees and its workers to analyse and strengthen their skills, which
will help them to satisfy customers by providing better services (Welch, 2011). Also,
after identification of responsibilities and skills to accomplish them, it is required by
employees and workers of Travelodge hotel to accept its responsibilities.

Comparison with standard: It can be considered as an effective method which is related
to evaluation of effectiveness. In this light, the manager and leaders of cited organization
has compared outputs with set or standard result. In other words, it includes an ability to
equate self-capability with set standards is an another method of effectiveness evaluation.
Management of changes: It requires by a person to have an effective skills and abilities
to adapt changes in accordance with the dynamic environment. In aspect of cited
organization, workers and employees of hotel should work in accordance to the variations
occurring in a work place of their hotel, which would ultimately result in overall

1.3 Recommendations for improvement
Improvement can be considered as an inseparable part of an ongoing activity. In this
light, it is considered as that part, which in an organization, can be attained by reducing costs and
expenses, enhancement of services, building goodwill etc. The employees and workers of
Travelodge company are required to receive incentives and from company. So, in context of
providing incentives for remarkable performance to its employees and workers, they can assure
maximum improvement. It can also be noted that a good manager is all the times an effective and
good leader (Lauring, 2011). He time to time motivates workers and assure optimal conditions of
work. The manager of Travelodge company aims to guide its employees and workers, in an
effective and proper manner so that they can be able to introduce harmony in their organization.
In this regard, in aspect of Travelodge company, there are some scope of improvements
which can be classified as:
Going through the objectives and aims of their organization.
It also requires to bring alterations in practice of their operations.
Variation in managerial approach adopted by its manager and leader, as change in
policies practiced by manager would lead to better quality services to its customers and
guests.
The manager of cited organization should focus more on performance evaluation of its
employees, so that their strengths and weakness can be determined.
In this light, leader and manager of Travelodge organization should ensure creation of
best and healthy working conditions.

The company should also obtain proper feedback from its guests and customers, on a
regular basis so that they can come to know positive and negative points in regard to
services offered.
Also, engagement of employees on each and every level of an organization is considered
as an important area for initiating improvement. It will make them feel like working in a
familiar company, which will ultimately result in attainment of objectives (Jones, 2013).
In addition to this, senior management of cited organization should create and develop
personal improvement in its employees, which increases their self-motivation and
confidence.
1.4 Utilisation of motivational techniques to improvise quality of performance
In accordance with the theory of Maslow, motivation succeeds the stage of satisfaction of
needs. In this theory for motivation, it has been laid down that there are five requirements which
are necessary for an individual to give effect and relate with motivation. So, these needs are
further bifurcated into two levels that is Higher level requirements and lower level wants. In
addition to this, lower level requirements are related to Physiological wants and needs for safety
and security. On the other hand, necessities in higher level can be characterised as affiliation and
self-esteem.
The Maslow theory for motivation is more focussed on creation and development of
motivation in employees and workers of Travelodge company. Also, managers of cited
organization attempts to motivate their workers on the basis of their requirements. For an
instance, if management of cited organization tries to satisfy demands of their workers, then in
that case they should have knowledge in regard to their demands. In this light, there are several
factors which should be there in mind of employer. In this direction, at lower stage, money and
incentives can be considered as a sole motivator, which can fulfil their needs.
In this regard, it can be assessed that there are certain aspects and factors which should be
kept in a mind while motivating employees. In this study, there are several factors which are
necessary for the motivation (Savery, 2015). In this regard, it is necessary that the motivation
level should be high in an organization to attain better results. In addition to this, there are
various method which are necessary so as to render and boost motivation among their

Providing transportation: It is considered as a major issue which conveys that
transportation is the basic necessity of employees of cited organization. This facility can
be provided by free of charge, so as to motivate them and comer on time in their work
premises.
Reward: It can be said that by rewards in terms of monetary and non-monitory terms,
manager and leaders can motivate employees of company so that workers of Travelodge
company will get motivated and inspired to supply good and quality services to its guests
( Rosenberg, Heimler and Morote, 2012).

2.1 Solutions to various problems in cited organization
It is a notable fact that, during a functioning of a company, it is obvious that problems
may arise, as interests of people from different levels of an organization are concerned with each
other. In this light, it can also be said that work based problems arises due to conflict among
employees and workers. In context of Travelodge company, there are two work based issues
which are as:
Internal conflicts.
Issues related to ethics (Omar and et. al., 2012).
The main reason behind any type of disagreement is miss communication. As,
communication plays a vital role in developing an effective series of channel in between
employees working at different level of a company. These issues can be elaborated with their
solutions as:
Internal issues: It has been assessed that there are certain issues and other components
which causes internal conflicts in premises of cited organization. Internal conflicts can
happen due to various reasons like miss communication, lack of guidance and motivation,
protection response and some personal problems (PROBLEM SOLVING BULLYING
ISSUES. 2016). In accordance with the said reasons for conflicts and issues, the managers
and leaders of the cited organization to work upon them so that they can make them
resolved. In this light, in the context of Travelodge company, major issue and conflict
among their employees is lack of communication. Communication is must at all levels of
an organization.

several tactics related top time management are characterised as: Arrangement of tasks: The main requirement of creating and sustaining of effective time
management in aspect of operations of the company, arrangement of works and tasks in
accordance with their priorities, should be done. It is so because, it will ultimately result
in accomplishment of tasks and works, according to allotted time and deadline. Sequence of time: Furthermore, proper sequence of time against each and every task
should be assigned so as to an accurate plan can be formed.
