INTRODUCTION
Employability skill are determined as the set of skills that are required to be inherent by
individual in order to acquire job of their own choice. These skills mainly depends upon attitude
skill and knowledge of the person which is being used by them as the core asset that helps them
out in attaining job opportunities in effective manner (Moore and Morton, 2017). Some of the
common employability skills include effective communication, presentation, team working,
management, time management, problem solving and other skills. This report will provide clear
description about the individuals development by performing task of PPT making. This will be
clearly explained through the usage of Gibbs reflective cycle by individual will express overall
journey of making presentation.
MAIN BODY
Gibbs reflective cycle is an effective model which is helpful in expressing overall
experiences of the individual associated with the particular event. This cycle was mainly given
by Sir Graham Gibbs in the year 1988. In this, Gibbs have developed this framework as he
believes that individual can learn more effectively by performing the work (Suleman, 2018).
This cycle is consist of five main stages which one after another provides option to individual to
express their experience related to the same and develop their own understanding towards the
overall learning from the particular activity. The respective framework is being effective
practised in professional life as it helps individual to develop their understanding over their
learning. For determined self learning by making PPT is the previous task individual has made
use of Gibbs reflective cycle. This includes five main stages which are expressed below one after
another in effective manner:
Description: This is the first and foremost stage of Gibbs reflective cycle which provides
clear description on the particular event. With reference to my own experience at the time of
developing PPT as the part of coursework. It can be said that I have developed presentation
during my coursework. In this, my tutor has provided me complete guidance on the topic as well
as its related academic material that could be used by me while making the PPT. For making the
PPT for effective and attractive I have used by strong research skill in order to attain authentic
information that will help me out in formulating effective PPT which contains detailed
information on the chosen topic. While presenting my presentation in front of the audience I got
to know that my communication skill is quite impressive which engage interests of audience

towards the topic for longer period of time. Also, I got to know that my team management skills
was also effective as I was able to manage work allocated in the whole team in rightful manner.
In addition to this, it has also reduced the chances of conflicts and miscommunication at
workplace.
Feelings: This is the second stage of reflective cycle which clearly specifies about the
actual feeling of individual at the time of the event, afterwards and now. In context of my own
experience, it can be said that before starting this presentation I was going through both feelings
that is excited as well as nervous. The main reason behind the excited was that this was the very
first time when I got opportunity to learn this thing. I also knew that by making effective PPT I
will get good marks. On the other hand, the another reason behind nervousness was that I have
never made PPT in the past and I was having fear of facing audience and expressing my
viewpoint to them about the topic. But, with the passing time I have started experiencing
negative instances too as every thing does not moves in the manner I had planned earlier. The
negative feeling related to the situation was that I was not able to gather information on the
provided topic easily as I was having very less time period for searching about the required
information. Also, I felt that some of the team mates were not comfortable with me while we
were making presentation as they thinks that I am arrogant and wont corporate with them for the
long term. But still it can be said that these team mates have placed their equivalent support in
making the PPT as they thinks that it will only be successful when everyone will place
equivalent support. The overall experience related to PPT making time was good and remarkable
as I have learnt a lot of things from it which will further help me out in developing more
effective PPT in the near future.
Evaluation: This is determined as the third stage of the overall project which states that
clearly expresses that what went good or bad at the time of going through the actual situation or
event. From my own experience related to the event, it can be said that experience associated
with the PPT making task was good at some time and on the other hand it was quite
unfavourable but still it has made me learnt many things. My positive experience related to the
situation was my good communication skill, management skill etc. all of these skills have made
it easier for me to perform the task in rightful manner. Also, good command over these skills
have developed my positive image at college that have supported me a lot in my future tasks too
as everyone was supportive with me and will surely help me executing my future tasks too.

Away with this, it can be later said that my time management skill was not not at all good. This
have made it difficult for me to complete my overall project within the provided time frame.
Along with this, it has also created many issues for me as it has created disputes among the team
members as they are not able to manage work due to lack of effective time management. In order
to handle this situation I have taken help from my superiors and asked to develop effective time
management plan that will help me out in managing overall work in the timely manner.
Conclusion: From the overall experience related to the task of making PPT it can be said
that I have learnt range of skills from this task as I have performed range of activities in the
single task. Also, I have analysed that I have developed my communication skill as I have
interacted to the range of people at the time of making PPT. Along with the support of my
seniors I have developed time management skill which will help me out in handling the
assignment associated activities within the firm in lucrative form. These developed skills will
help me out in enhancing my growth opportunities for both the personal as well as professional
life. Apart from this, it can be said that adverse situation related to the task has supported me a
lot in learning new skills like problem solving, handling team members, developing relationship
with the team mates etc.
Action Plan: It is the last stage of reflective cycle which provides knowledge on the
action plan that could be developed by individual. This will directly help individuals in
managing business activities and attaining success in rightful manner. For my personal
experience it can be said that I will surely behave in good and interactive manner with my team
members whenever I will get opportunity to perform the similar kind of task. Incorporation of
this initiative will directly help me out in developing my relationship with the team members and
also provide me support in making good PPT in the near future as I will get support from my all
team members. Apart from this, in the future I will personally make effective time management
plan in which I set overall time table according to the priorities in order to attain complete the
task in the provided time frame and attain success in rightful manner.
CONCLUSION
On the basis of overall information expressed in the above section, it has been analysed
that reflection is determined as the influential way through which individual can easily analyse
its own learning experience associated with the particular event. It has been later analysed that
individual is required to have good knowledge on Power point for making attractive presentation.

Along with this, they are required to make use of simple language while presenting their PPT in
front of the targeted audience. Usage of Gibbs reflective cycle has helped individual in
determining their own core strength as well as weaknesses so that they can improvise their
performance whenever they get opportunity to perform the same task in the near future.
