INTRODUCTION
Employability skills are defined as set of capabilities and competence that are
required in a person for completing the assigned task in effective way. It is vital that staff
members in organization should posses required knowledge and technical competence
so that they can support for growth and success of the company (Benson, Morgan and
Filippaios, 2014). Present report describes about significance of employability skills for
an organization. In addition to that evaluation of own effectiveness and performance
objectives has been done in the report. Moreover, techniques of using motivational
methods for improving quality of performance of employees in the enterprise has been
mentioned.
TASK 1
1.1 Performance objective and set of responsibilities
To work as a manager in Tesco organization I need to fulfil some responsibilities
so that my job should be accomplished properly. Employability skills are most significant
assets that supports staff members of an enterprise to accomplish their desired task in
effective and effectual manner. It is critical that performance objectives should be set so
that on the basis of that required work should be completed (Rao, 2014). To work as
manager of Tesco organization I have developed various performance objectives. It
supports me in completing my work in effective and productive way. My responsibilities
are as described :-
I am accountable for assigning task and daily work to the staff members. I
properly make a work schedule and on the basis of that I assign specific work
and job responsibility to the staff members.
I am responsible for making effective communication with my staff members and
seniors.
I am also responsible for making improvement in my own performing areas and

daily timeline for accomplishing the desired work which I need to perform. All the

capabilities in staff members and due to that overall performance of entity was getting
affected. Systematic procedure was adopted in corporation for resolving the issue in
effective way. Initially problem was identified by collecting data, facts, figures and it
supports in providing required knowledge that is needed for resolving the issue in
effective way. Root cause of problem was identified by making use of analytical tools
such as flow chart, scattered diagram and quantitative tools.
Brainstorming sessions was organized and members were encouraged for
giving their valuable suggestions and recommendations and it supported in identifying
alternative solutions that can be used for resolving the issue that was faced by
company.
Solution identified for resolving the problem :- Moreover, the most important solution
which was selected is to organize a training session for staff members so that required
skills can be imparted to them. This solution has supported in enhancing competence
and capabilities of employees and due to that it became easier for carrying out
operational activities of entity in effective way.
