The Employability skill is obsessed with conveyable skill and it is important for personal
attributes. As this employee's skill are more valuable and essential for the company to perform an
effective decision at workplace. This type of behaviours which are necessary for performing a
job. The organisation chosen for this report is Travelodge which was founded in 1985 in UK and
deals in travel and tourism industry which serves accommodation or hotel facility to the
customers (Asonitou, 2015). Under this report various types of roles and responsibilities are
match with performance objective. It will concentrate on interpersonal skills of the employees as
well as their transferable skill are also mentioned. This will further explain the dynamic style of a
team working that how behave with others. And subsequent part of the report will develop
various trouble resolution strategies for the company.
TASK1
1.1
In Travelodge, employees have different types of responsibilities and its objective. The
set of its own rules, policy and responsibilities that are concerned with assessment of the self.
Being in the hotel industry,I will have to deal with ample number of responsibilities and they are
discussed below :
Personal responsibility : These responsibilities are concerned with the set of own
responsibilities. In this, being the employee of the Travelodge, I will be able to work in
accordance of attainment of business goals and objectives (Barker, 2014). They will be
responsible for satisfying customer needs and wants which is the primary purpose of the
organisation.
Direct and indirect relationship : As an employer of Travelodge, I am responsible for
establishing relationship with the customers so that they will feel happy and will
definitely return. This can be done by meeting their demands. For this, the organisation
will focus on enhancing various services and products and allowing customisation.
Decision making process : Business environment is highly dynamic, so employer or
employee must have the necessary decision making skills which will help in growth and
productivity of the operations.

to any principles or moral values. Being in a hotel industry, Travelodge must follow
several ethical principles which will maintain harmony and proper direction in the
organisation.
Apart from this, performance objectives are the targets, which is set by the individuals
and are often carried out on the basis of SMART objectives. It tends to be the most difficult
criteria. For this, Travelodge will develop various strategies that will aim loyalty card members
which is accepted by stakeholders (Clokie and Fourie, 2016). They are the milestone on the path
to accomplish the company target and objectives. It enable the employee for development of
plan and organise the work in accordance with the accomplished results and outcomes. It will
help in developing knowledge base and skills which will thrive in their work and also
collaborates with their colleagues that have greater transparency and mutual understanding.

strong. I need to improve these skills because communication is a vital part of every day
activities and operations. For this, it is recommended that taking parts in debates, reading
novels, attending group discussions and presenting personal views on this, will become
necessity to improve communication skills.
Leadership skills : For improving leadership skills which is very crucial in the business
structure of an organisation, it is essential to adopt different methods like providing group
directing and leading duty for short time period like one day and study the occurrence
and experience inside group or team meeting (Ito and Kawazoe, 2015).
Problem solving : These skills are very important as it helps in maintaining harmony in
the business atmosphere. For this, it is important to have a patient and calm nature of
employee which help them in thinking critically and developing solutions which will be
advantageous for every one and not only for the single team or individual.
Team work : It is essential for people to realize the benefit of working in team because
when people work in team then they can generate better results. This can be improved by
considering human resources which will have motivating staff to take part while at the
time of discussion it is important to improve the working practice for employee's. Along
with this the human resource management will utilise team effort and strategy to increase
the participation of team members in the organisation.

feel unsafe then they tends to leave the organisation. They need regular motivation and
lack of proper training and motivation can led to the labour absenteeism. This can be
solved by providing safety and security to the employees with regular motivation in form
of financial or non financial so that they will be encouraged for working with the
