Personal objective and performance objective :
Personal and performance objectives both are depend on employability skills all effective and
innovative performance appraisal are connected to specific, attainable and measurable objective
that are put in right place to push the employee to a higher level of team and individual
performance. Performance objective is basically a work activity that the employee can take in
action while performing his or her task or job it is not any work activity, responsibilities or task
description listed in any performance description. Personal objectives are explained as the
specific job goals of each individual employee. These are important element because they create
interaction with employees what is important and what an organisation expect from them.
1.2 Own effectiveness against defined objectives
Organisations have their own set of objectives the basic objective is to accomplish the
targeted goals of the company. Every firm including big and small industries want to grow and
try to expand their business just to make higher rate of profit. And they give affords to maintain
and develop their image in market. Activities according to the manager can be profitable for the
company as per my opinion I have to focus on the activities that are directed by my line manager
and I give affords in my production activities just to make an effective and innovative product
because product and service is the best element for the market and it creates wealth for the
organisation. I put my all strength related to finance use in financial activities of the organisation
and promoting and marketing strategies to promote people. some are having queries regarding to
the purchasing of product in the marks and philosopher so I have to use my strength to them. I m

trying to provide my self more customer rather than one customer just to actively attend them
and give them priorities, make them feel understand and comfortable. As per the manager
direction I have to fulfil the demand and need of the customer and I put all my affords to satisfy
them. I have to more presentable and active for the customers to help them and resolve their
queries. I have to establish better relation with the customer on the basis of company's benefit. I
am performing the tasks as per the order of my senior. But I am not making two way
communication with the customers to clarify about their orders. I give my best to make
spontaneous image of the company.
1.3 Recommendations for improvement
organisations most focuses on improvement on the basis of customers feedback. Mostly
organisation want feedback from the customers just to know about the strength and weaknesses
of the company's product and service because the customers are the king of the market and they
give the genuine reasons for improvements. It is very hard and essential for me to manage and
hand-al my activities according to the guidelines and direction and order to the manager so I
have to be prepared for it. I have to learn more at the time of training and I have to make some
notes as per the direction of the trainer because it can be help me to remind the steps and
procedure taught by the trainer. As per the training I have to perform the giving tasks to prove
my education and learning ability. At the time of performing the task I have to use a diary or
notebook to note down the orders and direction giving by the manager or leader because it
helpful in remind me all the guidelines and orders which are provided by them as the begging of
the day. By the help of the notes which is given by the manager or leader it can be help me to
improve my skills and ability. I have to be more communicative with the customers as per the
direction of my manager just to provide them better services. I have to create more focus on the
customers to provide them better service and assistance. The depth communication help me to
identify the problem and issues of the customers and I have to put my ability to solve their
problems. Some customers are hesitated to ask question because of lack of communication with
the business associates or employees or workers and for this I try to communicate with them and
provide them the services as per their demand and need.
1.4 Motivational techniques can be used to improve quality of performance
According to the Maslow if employees basic needs are fulfil then they get motivated.
According to Maslow's hierarchy of needs employees who are on lower level are always want to

fulfil their lower level of needs (Jones, 2013). It is related with the shelter needs and physical
needs also. Manager or employer of the ASDA can motivate them by fulfil their basic needs so
that they do their work with more effectively and efficiently. Like an example if an employer
wants to fulfil the demand of their employees then he or she must know about their demands. If
any employee of the ASDA needs financial help from her manager or employer and if he provide
them authority then he never be motivated and happy because employer is not fulfil the similar
type of needs so it can not motivate them. Every people or employee has their own motivation
regarding their level of work. So that if the worker or employee has on lower level then money is
the one thing that can motivate them.
According to McGregor he provides two type of motivational factors to the employee or
worker. First one is related with employee do not want to do work and they take or consider it as
a pressure. But the other type of employees always want to do work and they take work in a
simple way. So that it has be concluded that work is the only factor which can motivate an
employee of the ASDA. But the employee who do not get motivated then they always try to
switch their work or job and always need some better one. In this manager or employer can play
an important role that he can motivate employees because those employees are motivated always

want to do work more effectively and also help the company to compete with their competitors
and take competitive advantage (Jackson, 2014).
There are also some ways to motivate an employee in ASDA which are described as
below:
Providing transportation: This is the very major problem which is related with an
employee or worker. So that ASDA can also provide transportation facility to their employee
which provide them motivation in non – monetary form.
Housing facilities: ASDA can also provide or offer this facility to an employee who do
their work effectively or perform well. It can provide motivation to them in a monetary term.
Reward: Manager or employer of the ASDA can also give rewards to their employees
which is based on their performance. The best performer of the ASDA can get rewarded in the

monetary term. It will also help them to boost their morale and performance that will also help
the organisation to improve their profits.
Bonus: It is also like in a monetary term and also provide motivation to the employee of
ASDA. Employee or worker who work well or do their task best are eligible to get the bonus
from them.
So that it has been concluded that every people want is different from other people and
they always want to fulfil their demand accordingly. If employees get motivated they they do
their best to achieve the goals and objectives of ASDA (Omar and et. al., 2012).
LO 2
2.1solutions to work based problems
The problems are arises at every work place the manager of the organisation is concern
about the problems and they firstly need to find out a proper solution for the problem. ASDS
observing something wrong and take an initiative to solve the problem which arise complexity in
the organisation. Problems are very complex in nature for solving the problem the firm need to
identifying the problem, and take an initiative action for solving problems. They can take care of
quality assurance and risk management because these are important aspect of the firm. Initiative
doesn't mean involvement for top level but it means to solve problem before it effects the
environment of workplace. According to my point of the major problem in the cited business
organisation is to communication system which can create a serious issues for each and every
business unit. Communication played a significant role in the growth and development of the
business which needs to be improve for the business. It can create a serious issues for the
business unit which having a adverse impact on the business and it performance. Poor
communication system at the workplace can develop the poor relationship between the ASDA
management and its employees. An effective communication can help to make coordination
between various functional and divisional department so that the cited business unit can attain its
desired goals and objectives. For example, ASDA is operating their business in to various
countries which required an effective and appropriate communication system. Due to lack of
coordination in the various department such as marketing, finance, HR, production and sales
having negative impact on its performance and productivity. Therefore, it is the responsibilities

of the cited business organisation is to improve their communication and provide effective
training and development on the regular basis, so that they can improve their performance which
can leads to increase profitability of the company which is the common goals for each and every
business organisation. A poor communication also leads to increase the rate of mistakes and
increase supervision. For example, there are various issues which can be faced by the customers
needs to immediate response by the company. If ASDA is having a system where the customer
directly contact with the customer service team or executive can increase the customer
satisfaction level which is too significant. Apart from that there are various decisions for each
and every level such as strategic, tactical and operational level. They required various data and
information so that they can make their decision effectively. For example, marketing department
required the information about the allotted budget to them so that they can implement their
strategies in an effective manner.
2.2 Communicate in a variety of styles and appropriate manner at various
levels
It is essential for me that to provide recommendation which is
related with the various methods and approaches can be used by the
ASDA in order to improve their overall communication system. There are
various communication style at the various level such as top level, middle
level and the lower level can be used by the business organisation so that
they can attain their goals and objectives in an effective manner. These
are given below:
Top level This is one of the level where the various decisions which are make by the
higher authorities of the company. These decisions are related with the
strategic level which can provide the future direction to the business unit.
For this the cited firm can conduct meeting with the top management
regarding the specific issues for the company. For example, ASDA is
conducting their business activities in the UK market which having large
number of competition. If the cited business organisation wants to expand
their business the manager of the company can conduct meeting where they

can decide their strategies and future business plan in an effective manner.
Middle level This is another level where the different aspects of the business at the
operational level. There are various department such as marketing, finance,
production, sales etc. There are various operational decisions required to
make in an effective manner in order to improve business performance of
the company. There are various approaches which can includes mail
system, online chat, Skype etc. in order to communicate with the various
functional department of the company.
Lower level This is another level where the day to day operations decisions are make by
the line manager and the HR department of the company. For example if the
HR department is required to communicate with their employees they can
use and paste their information on the notice board so that they each and
every employees can read these information.
2.3 Effective time –management strategies
Management of time is very important for the ASDA. In
employability skills there is also need of proper time management.
Manager or employer of the ASDA can manage time with proper
planning and they can also organise it in a proper way. If manager want
an effective time management in their company then they can also use
some tools for this purpose (Durrani and Tariq, 2012). ASDA can use
some strategies which are mentioned as below:
They can prioritise their task.
It is also necessary to make proper sequence of their work.
If there is any difficult task then employer or manager can
decentralized their work.
Time distraction.
They can also measure or calculate the time which can be
consumed by employee while doing their task.

It is also necessary to take initiatives.

goals
Each and every employees are having some key skills in them which makes them special
in the team and organisation. Their skills helps to the team in which they are working to achieve
their targets in the pre decided time limits. According to the Belbin team roles theories, these are
defined under here;
Shaper role There are various roles which need to be performed by a team
member. In the context of cited business organisation, the shaper
role is having a large significant. It is related with the designing
and developing the team goals by the team leader and manager of
the company. They having good experience in this field which can
help to attain their desired targets. For example, the sales manager
of ASDA is set the target for their sales is can be known as shaper.

significant which can help to solve such problems and provide
consistent growth to their work.
3.2 Team dynamics
Team work is very effective and efficient and also helps to achieve the goals and
objectives of the company. It company wants to get best output or outcome then they build team
because if an individual do their work in team they complete it perfectly. A very easy mean of
the team that individuals do their work together so that they bring the suitable and best outcome.
If ASDA wants the success of their team then they need to follow the group dynamics.
Maintain the team is not very easy task in fact there will be many difficulties can arise
while manager maintain the team. Every people need to make efforts jointly so that they can
reduce the difficulties and they also provide many type of services which can also available at
work place. Some people in the team are multi tasking so that they do any or many task
effectively. Every team member need to be very cautious about the formation of the team.
Obviously when people or employee or an individual work in team then they must
required necessary number to fulfil the requirement of the team. It is the main responsibility of
the manager or an employer that they build team because it is not the job or work of the
employees or an individual (Dhiman, 2012). It is also the duty of an employer or manager to
supervise them so that they will do their work in effective manner. It is also essential so that
employees can develop their knowledge and skills. The members of the team must solve every
problem together.
The another requirement of team dynamic is related to the optimistic contribution. It is
main duty of the team members that if there is any argument between them then deal with it

properly. It is also necessary for the superior or manager or employer that he or she accept the
relationship of the team members with each other.
In team work there is use of policy of decentralization so that it is very crucial. Every
people has their own work according to their capabilities so that they are very expert in their
work. In group only very few work is not related with other work but most of the work is rely on
each other's work. In team it is necessary to understand the goals and objectives of the team so
that they will do their best to attain the desired goals.
3.3 Alternative ways to complete tasks and achieve team goals
Team in ASDA is made so that they can achieve the desired goals
and objectives of the company effectively and efficiently. The main aim or
objective of formation of group is only to attain the desired goals (Sung
and et. al., 2013).
The alternative method of doing work is known as Specialization.
If an individual or people continuously do one task or job again and again
then they will get expert in that work or can say that they will get
specialized because they do repeated work. Every people has their own
nature and they has their own skills and knowledge. It is the duty of an
employer or manager that he identify the needs and wants of the
employee so that so that they can fulfil their demands accordingly. It is
also very essential to motivate people or employee towards their work so
that they do their best to attain the goals and objectives of ASDA. There
