INTRODUCTION
Employability skills are very necessary for employees as well as organisation. It help in
achieving their goals and objectives of organisation (Pitan and Atiku, 2017). Employability skills
are getting through proper understanding of academic skills. So if persons want to develop
employability skills, firstly they should develop academic skills that is a base. Employability
skills includes critical thinking, problem solving, oral and written communication skills, etc.
Whereas academic skills are basically focuses on getting academic knowledge. In this report it
covers the importance of both skills in career development of a person.
MAIN BODY
TASK 1
For each and every student, skills are very important as it plays an important role in
success and growth of career. It can be see that students should gain proper academic skills from
their schools and colleges. So that it becomes helpful in their job career. Academic skills is very
important for a students because it help in boosting their personality for their future job. From
academic skills, student get academic knowledge that enhance theoretical knowledge of a person.
Whereas employability skills is create and develop in a person to achieve the desired result or
organisation (Saleh, 2019). Employability skills include problem solving, oral and written
communication, critical thinking, etc. Theses are all important for employees so that they can
apply them easily in organisation.
A person can identify their skills through personal audit of skill. It becomes helpful in
finding of skills that presently posses in a person. It also help in taking decisions regarding
development of future skills. Personal audit is essential for a person who wants to develop some
skills. It would be better explain with my own experience. As per the current scenario, I identify
that it becomes very tough situation for students and candidates who wants to apply for career
and job respectively. Due to increasing in competition, I identified that organisation need
talented and skilful employees especially those who are multitasking. In nowadays, degree
doesn't that much matter as person's ability and talent matter. Competition rise continuously
which is not good situation for individual because it really become hard that how they can
develop skills that attract organisations.

When I was studying and taking academic skills, I analysed from my tutor that
multitasker is very important for a person. Because organisation find multitasker who performs
all functions or operations at given time limit. Work load is becomes heavy that need a person
who manage all work with harmony. I have some important academic skills such as academic
writing, core skills, presentation skills, etc. These mention skills is important for me and I
already acquire during academic studies. Core skills are very important for a person who wants
to grow their career successfully. I have almost all academic skills but one skill that is not
present in me is employability skill. So my future goals is to develop all employability skills that
help to get a reputed job in future so that my career can grow. I also decide to develop some
entrepreneurer skills so that it helps in me in future when I try to become entrepreneur.
Entrepreneur is the person who has creative or innovative ideas for starting their business.
I currently possess some skills such as oral and written communication. For become a
employees in a reputed company, it is necessary that I have all skills that attract the interviewer. I
analysed that organisation such as Festivals, Events, Air and Tourism need communication and
analytical skills. From a personal audit I find that these organisation need employees who have
skills such as critical thinking, analytical skills, leadership, team work, etc. I need to develop
some skills such as leadership and team work so that I performed my job very well. For
leadership skills I have to take some responsibilities and duties that help to learn a management
in workers through particular leadership style. Whereas team work skills can be develop through
engagement and involvement with team. These tools and techniques is very helpful for me that I
can be develop these skills. So that I can perform all activities and responsibilities in a
appropriate manner.
