INTRODUCTION
Professional development define as the collection of tools, training sessions for the
learner to improve their work quality and efficiency (Koonce and et.al 2019). It defines as a
certification, academic degrees which is required for the individual to grow in their career.
Aspect of the professional development is to improve the knowledge and skills in individual so
that they can proceed to achieve their goals. This assessment aims to enhance the knowledge and
skills of the individual so that their can improve their performance, it will allow them to develop
the understanding which required for the employment. It describes the area as to develop
comprehension to enhance the learning for effective work. It further discusses the tools and
techniques for improving interpersonal and transferable skills also involve the Personal
development plan.
MAIN BODY
Knowledge and understanding for enhancing the learning for better work
Knowledge is the power which lead person to accomplish their desired objectives. The
ways which are required to enhance the knowledge begin with to clear the vision which helps to
set the goals of achievement. Personal development plays an important role which allow the
person to schedule all their activities accordingly so it enables them to improve their skills. It
also makes them able to enhance the knowledge so that it will be helpful for their career. The
ways which can be use by the individual for enhancing the learning and knowledge for the work
are as follows-
Initial step to clear vision and goal setting:
It is the most important for the individual to know the aim or vision of the task so that it will
enable them to set desired objectives. Having a clear vision not only gives the direction but also
enable to set the strategy to complete the work. Goal setting process gives the energy so that
learner can begin to acquire the knowledge in order to accomplish the goals (Dyrbye, Lipscomb
and Thibault, 2020).
Outline the fears:

By outlining all the complexities can make the person to complete their work effectively for the
individual to carry out the task effectively must need to outline their work. If they found
difficulty in such task then they can give extra effort for those particular task so that
improvement can be made. This complex task or fear can be as fear to speak in front of large
audience or hesitate to deliver the views and opinions. For that individual need to specified
activities so that it will develop the knowledge to overcome all the fears and also allow carrying
out good work.
Explore something new:
Exploring different course will be beneficial to increase the knowledge as for the development it
is important to try something new which develops the understanding. As for the learner they can
enrol in different courses or to proceed to take training for the skills so it will be great for them to
pursue any career (Parkhouse, Lu, and Massaro, 2019). Also, by exploring new subjects can
also gives the level of understanding which can be used to implement in work place
development.
To ask for the feedback:
Feedbacks from colleagues, family friends always gives inspiration to work effectively, therefore
it is important to listen those feedbacks rather to criticize. It only enables the person to make
changes or it also gives them positivity about their work it boosts their morale to work even more
better.
Organized work:
It is the foremost important task which allow the person to complete their work on time. As
organized work make the individual to focus it will also develop the interest in person towards
the work, so they complete their work with good outcomes.
Developing network:
Meeting with others people always important to enhance the learning by listening or observing
the others views plays an important role. By creating network allows the person to take support
of others if required. Communicating with other also enable the person to speak up in front of
people also allow to share their views and opinions.
Meditation:
Exercising is the better way to develop focus in any work, meditation exercise help to relax the
mind so that person can be able to generate new ideas for their work. By exercising they can

release their anxiety it enhances the positivity among the individual which makes them able to
learn things fast for carrying out their work efficiently to achieve the goals or objectives.
Tools and techniques for increasing the skills
Skills define as a talent or the expertise which must required for the better work. Skills
plays an important role in order to get success in career. For the person it is important to possess
the skills so that they can achieve their goals. Tools and techniques for the skills are defined as a
systematic approach to develop the skills or to enhance the knowledge. Interpersonal skills are
defined as everyday skills which person used to interact with others whether to communicate
with individual or to converse in group. Better interpersonal skills enables the person to converse
with others more effectively (Gast, Schildkamp and van der Veen, 2017). Transferable skills are
those which makes the person to move forward in their education, employment or career.
Tools for enhancing the interpersonal skills
Interpersonal skills refer as a foundation to get success in life it involves the soft skills, social
skills which are required for the person to achieve their desired goals. Having good interpersonal
skills make the person to effectively share their points and opinions also develops a positive
attitude to complete any work. To enhance this skill the tools are defined as-
To practice empathy:
To become an empathetic allow the person to understand other people's emotions,
through which person can proceed to observe others which will be beneficial to improve the
delivery of sentences. For good interpersonal skills it is important to listen others without
interrupting them also for good employment person need to develop network, so they can
process to understand the emotions of other people. It is also beneficial as at some point if they
look for help so other person can also provide their support.
To cultivate the optimistic attitude:
People around always want a friendly outlook so for the person it is necessary to interact
with people always with calm nature and with good gesture so that they will show interest in
conversation. It does not mean that the person have to show incredibly sociable but at least they
can proceed to give good reply so that it will be beneficial to enhance the communication skills.

Tools for growing the Transferable skills:
Transferable skills are the relevant skill as it is more helpful to complete any task, it sometime
considers as a portable skill. It can be problem solving, analytical, critical thinking which is
important for the person to enhance this in order to get good results (Bush and et.al 2018).
To Enable good communication skills:
It is the most important skills which allow the person to share their views and opinion or
to deliver their points directly. By practising this with different activities can develop good
knowledge in it. To interact with other people or to take part in debate, quizzes person can
proceed to develop good communication skills.
To identify the team building capability:
It is important sometime to self reflect which gives the areas which need to be improved
also define the strength so that person can proceed to make career in those paths. Therefore, to
know the good career person need to find if they are able to connect the people with together to
carry out the project productively. Therefore, transferable skills plays an important role to get the
successful outcomes in the career.
To patiently deal with the problems:
For the development it is important to deal with the complex work effectively it is the
only solution to get the answer for the complex problem. By playing mind games as chess or to
talk with others can also develop a analytical reasoning which is beneficial to solve any problem.
It also enables the person to take effective or rapid decisions.
Importance of Personal and professional development plan (PDP):
Developing a personal and professional development plan always plays an effective role
as it gives the analysis as what areas are required to improve. By defining this process also brings
motivation among person its like a self assessment which enables the individual to look into own
strength and weakness. By improving skills always develops more opportunities for the person
therefore PDP always be a useful tool which allow the person to move in forward direction or to
achieve their successive goals (Kiel-Morse, 2020).
PDP comprises the factors which can begin with to find the objectives as it gives the clear
information as why to do the task therefore it is important to set the goals so that effective action

can be design to implement. Next step to organize the skills which are needed to improve for
better work. After organize all the skills next step is to define the set of actions so that the skills
can be improved. By setting time bound also enable to learn the skills on time so that there will
be no halting of work final step to document all the work.

possess the good skills and knowledge one needs to organized all their work so it would be
beneficial for them to choose carrier path. This report describes as how knowledge and
understanding about something could play an important role for learning to implement in work
for desired results. It also described as the tools and techniques for developing the interpersonal
and transferable skills for the growth in career. It lastly described about the personal and
professional development plan.
