Introduction
This report is prepared to present the analysis of different skills which are required for further
development of the individual to work within the hotel and hospitality industry. This report will
present the SWOT analysis as well as the PDP to identify the skills as well as the weaknesses.
Further, these skills will be analyzed to find employment in the future. Overall this report will
highlight the employability skills which are required to work in the hospitality industry.

included in the PDP plan. The time frame is decided for the purpose in which the plan has to
achieve. So the plan is described in the table below:

good time management skills and I am good at managing my work on time which will surely be
helpful for me to get the job in the hospitality industry (Suleman, 2016).
The other skill is technical skills. To work in the hotel or hospitality industry, it is necessary for
an individual to have some technical knowledge to keep and maintain the data in the computer
systems in an effective manner. I have identified the lack of such skills so there is a need for
making certain numbers of the improvements in myself and develop such skills. I can opt for any
of the technical courses to gain such skills and be able to get a good job in the hospitality
industry.
While working in the hospitality industry, it is very important to have the team working skills
because there is a need for working with the whole team of the hotel. Such skills help in
managing the work on time and effectively to achieve the common goal of such company. I need
to develop such skills so that I can be able to have such employability skill to get the job in the
hospitality industry. This skill will also be helpful for me in the development of my leadership
skills. I will be able to lead so many people and will be able to motivate them to work hard to be
successful and increase the profitability of the company (Simpson, et. al., 2017).
After conducting the SWOT analysis I got to know about my weaknesses as well as the
strengths. I have also prepared the PDP to make improvements in my weaknesses. Such skills
which I am going to develop are the employability skills which are highly essential to get
employment in the hospitality industry. I will utilize all these skills while working with such a
company to ensure a successful career option.
