that my communication skill also improved. It is necessary for me to communicate effectively

by providing them a reward. It makes feel employee satisfy and they work with full efforts.
Further I also give training and development facility to employee so that they feel work as a
burden and understand it.
1.3
A specific situation which I encountered in the organization is that lack of coordination
between employees and between manager and employee. Due to this problem company is
suffering because productivity is decreasing and workers are unable to give quality work. It
affects the profitability of Marks and Spencer. This is the problem which required to be solved.
For this I recommended that there should be a proper coordination between employee and
manager. It can be done through a proper communication. There should be meeting conducted
once in a month in which employee problem should be listened by manager. Secondly I
recommended that employee need to give a proper training and development facility. so that
their work quality improved and new and existing employee get more knowledge about the
work. Further I recommended that work should be done in a team under the guidance of team
leader so that employee can understand each other nature and by working together company
productivity can also increase. Employee should understand and respect the ideas and views of
each employee. Further environment in which employee are working should be friendly for them
so that workers not get frustrated with work.
1.4
There are various motivational tools which help organization in improving quality
performances that are as follow
Make expectation clear: All the employee working in an organization should clearly
understand that what company is expecting form them (Jackson, 2013). Workers should know
the company goals and strategy so that they can give their best effort for achieving the goal. If
employee clearly know the purpose of the organization then it becomes easy for them to

Reward a bonus system: employee is needed to provide a bonus on any festival and

company employee get bonus if company earn profit, then employee will try to give more effort
to their company so that in future they will get more bonuses (Rasul, Rauf, Mansor and

Provide a continuous feedback: Manager need to provide a feedback to employee so
that they can make improvement in their work .it a another way of improving a performance of
the company (Prasad and Parasuraman, 2014). When employee came to know about their weak
areas, then they will try to make improvements.

performance of employee. Through Maslow theory and Herzberg theory is very effective in
motivating an employee.
