INTRODUCTION
Employability skills can be explained as the set of transmittable skills and behaviors that are
required by a person to make it “employable”. Employability skills are also known as
interpersonal skills, workplace skills, job-related skills, communication skills, etc. (Bassot, 2017).
It is important for every employee to have employability skills so that they can carry out the
best in them with the achievement of the organizational goals. Employability skills involve a
range of skills that should be inculcated by an employee, like motivation skill, communication
skills, management skills, interpersonal skills, ability to work in a team, etc. (Bassot, 2017).
These skills are important and are valued because these create a link to how the employee is
interacting with its colleagues, clients, etc. (Bassot, 2017). The assignment would emphasize the
roles and responsibilities that the Membership and Visitor Welcome manager at National Trust
has to play. National Trust is an independent charitable trust that has been formed to conserve
the natural beauty of the country. The roles played by the newly appointed manager would be
to enhance its various skills to finish the tasks hence accomplishing the goals of National Trust.
These employability skills are to be followed by the manager to enhance the working of the
National trust. This assignment would also discuss different methods that are required for
establishing solutions for the issues and its related impact on National trust (Bassot, 2017).

1.1 ESTABLISHING OWN RESPONSIBILITY PERFORMANCE AND OBJECTIVE
The roles and responsibilities that I have to perform at national Trustas a Membership and
Visitor Welcome manager are to critically analyze the performance of the staff and to make
sure that the experience of all the guests that visit the National Trustfeel enlightened and
delighted. The roles and responsibilities that are to be played to achieve the objective are:
Manage the visitor’s experience
It’s my responsibility to make a delightful experience for the visitor. And for that, I have to
provide extraordinary services to everyone with the support of the team by maintaining service
commitment behavior. Higher performance standard has to be maintained by with visitor
engagement around the whole property (Bassot, 2017). I have to co-operate with other
functional departments for the effective management of the team at the property.
Risk management
I have to manage the risk effectively and strive to minimize it by making sure that both I and the
team follow the predetermined procedures related to the visitors, staff members, and the
contractors. Risk related to inventory management and money handling processes at National
Trust should be identified, analyzed and managed effectively abiding the rules of the legislation
also (Van Aken and Berends, 2018).
Management of financial performance
I would be held responsible for achieving the extended targets with maximization of the
earnings by taking National Trust’s recruitment process into consideration. I am responsible for
training my team to an impeccable knowledge of recruitment and can stimulate the advantages
of Gift aid and direct debit payment (Bassot, 2017). Also, I have to use tools to optimize the
resources with the fulfillment of the targets.

Relationship management
I have to ensure that the relationship with the visitors is maintained amicably. And for this, it's
my responsibility that my team is conveying important information regarding the conservation
work to the visitors to build relations with our important places. Also, to increase the
generation of the income for the benefit of the conservation because so that amount generated
can be reinvested in the organization (Van Aken and Berends, 2018).
Effectively leading the people
It’s important for me to create a positive work station for my staff members and volunteers. I
have to select and recruit individuals who are talented and ardent to work, provide them with
proper training and development by setting a goal for them to achieve and providing them with
regular reviews about their performance (Van Aken and Berends, 2018).
Business opportunity developer
I have to extract opportunities from the ideas posed by the members of my team and the
feedback that the client gives, this will help in directing income and creativity of National Trust.
I am held responsible for motivating my team positively and make them have amazing product
knowledge about the places at National Trust (Van Aken and Berends, 2018). This will help in
generating higher revenue including the visitor experience.
To have an effective performance by me and achieving the desired objective of National Trust,
