TASK 2- CONTINUOUS PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT
Table 2
2.1 & 4.2 SOLUTIONS TO
PROBLEMS AND
STRATEGIES FOR
SOLVING PROBLEMS
4.1 EVALUATE TOOLS
AND METHODS FOR
DEVELOPING SOLUTION
2.3 TIME MANAGEMENT
STRATEGIES
Solutions to Problems:
1. In order to enhance the
team management and
working skills effective
listening skills can be
developed that will help in the
effective listening of the
arguments and key points of
team members (Messum, et
al. 2016).
2. Better persuading and
respecting skills can be
developed which will help in
rendering effective support to
the team members and will
enhance their participation.
3. Personality development
programs can be joined which
will help in enhancing the
attributes of the confidence
and the personality which will
help in boosting personality
for working in HSC (Sisodia
and Agarwal, 2017).
4. There is also a need for the
computer and technical
knowledge to be developed
that will help in the effective
rendering of the health and
social care services
(Williamson, et al. 2016).
Strategies used to solve
problems
1. One such tool that will be
employed to evaluate my own
performance will be the
psychological skills and
development test that will
help me to gather indicators
of my performance through
the online test (Messum, et al.
2015).
2. A self-assessment tool will
also help in inspecting the
flaws and faults in the way of
my performance and will help
in identifying the languages,
public speaking skills and
other improvement areas.
3. Through the means of
feedbacks from the co-
workers and the staff the
performance can be
measured and evaluated
(Messum, et al. 2016).
4. Thus a combination of
these tools is used by me so
as to evaluate the
performance effectively and
improve the areas for
improvements.
In NHS time management is
an essential requirement as
through the busy schedule
there arise some crucial
emergencies while working in
HSC which are to be managed
in the busy schedule. So some
strategies need to be
effectively implemented in
order to effectively manage
the time.
Proper arrangement of the
records of clients and the
stationery materials will be
ensured so that at time of
need everything is found to
be at its place and does not
consume much time
(Messum, et al. 2015). From
the daily schedule, I will keep
some time for arrangement
and setting of everything in its
order so that it doesn’t take
time for me to find the
required information or things
when needed.
For avoiding the excess
burden of the work and
compromising the work
quality I will rather prefer to
say no to the job which
cannot be performed at the
same time. This will help me

1. Effective training and
development programs can
be joined which will help in
developing effective
personality development
attributes.
2. Activities and the discussion
sessions will be arranged for 2
months so as to build better
team building skills.
3. Senior staff will be
contacted to gain from their
experience and improve the
required skills (Sisodia and
Agarwal, 2017).
4. To enhance the computer
skills and technology a
computer course can be
joined for short terms so that
usage of computer can be

in maintaining the quality of
work with effective time
management (Williamson, et
al. 2016).
Another strategy will be to
manage all time effectively in
every work so as to
accomplish them on desired
boundaries. Efforts will also
be laid to eliminate
unnecessary gossips so that
time can be effectively
utilised.
In case of an emergency, I will
give my priority to them as
this will require my more
focus as compared to daily
routine check-ups of other
clients (Messum, et al. 2016).
4.3 EVALUATE THE
IMPACT OF
IMPLEMENTING
STRATEGIES ON THE
BUSINESS
1. The impact of the implementing strategies will help in
improvising the community of NHS and will improve the health
services which will help me in carrying the tasks effectively and
that too in an appropriate manner.
2. With the implementation of proper time management
strategies the risks and emergencies in HSC can be prioritised
and will help the service seekers to gain proper treatment on
time which will lead to gaining of more confidence and
enthusiasm of the clients (Sisodia and Agarwal, 2017).
3. Through effective communication skills developed enough
confidence can be gained which will help in convincing and
persuading the staff and the patients in HSC and will help in
developing effective relations with the other NHS employees.
4. Through the strategy of building effective computer usage
skills and the technological skills effective record keeping can
be ensured and the tasks can be better performed through
improved knowledge of the technical skills in HSC (Dill and
Morgan, 2017).

TASK 3- COLLABORATIVE TEAM DYNAMICS JOURNAL
Table 3
Team Roles 3.1 YOUR
OBSERVATIONS
3.2 TEAM
DYNAMICS
3.3 SUGGESTIONS
Team leader As per the
observation in one
year of employment,
the role of a team
leader came to an
observation which
was such that he was
the head of the
department and was
responsible for
guiding the other
team members such
as nurses and staff by
effective allocation of
their work
responsibilities
(Williamson, et al.
2016).
According to the
Belbin’s team role
theory in a team
there are people who
are categorised under
action-oriented,
people oriented and
though oriented
(Taylor, 2016). From
my observation, it
was observed that
there arise some
frictions between the
team members due to
the lack of
communication and
ambiguity between
From the observation
coordination and
proper
communication was
one of the problems
that were identified
as a team worker.
Due to the lack of
coordination between
the junior and the
senior assistant which
can be resolved by
bringing in closer
proximity the senior
and the junior
assistant so that the
coordination can be
enhanced and seniors
can guide them
through their years of
experiences. This will
also help to transfer
the learning capacity
in the junior assistant
as well (Dill and
Morgan, 2017).
In order to manage
the team dynamics
orientation programs
can be started at NHS
which will help in
injecting the needs
and the importance
of the coordination in
the new members
For managing the
team dynamics there
is a recommendation
in HSC that regular
meetings and the
informal discussion
sessions should be
arranged for the
entire team at NHS so
that through informal
discussions and the
meetings the issues
prevailing in the
organisation can be
brought to light and
be resolved within
time by devising
proper strategies
(Williamson, et al.
2016).
Through these
meetings and
discussions, the team
members can be
brought closer and
the communication
process can be
smoothened which
will help in bringing
better communication
and coordination in
the team at NHS
(Taylor, 2016).

joining the
organisation.
Junior assistant Junior assistants are
the ones that are
assisting and taking
care of the patients in
assistance to their
seniors. There is an
observation that
some workers are left
undone as there is
lack of
communication
between the senior
and the junior
assistant which leads
to complaints as a
result of incomplete
work. The roles
should be clearly
communicated to the
junior assistants so
that the responsibility
division can be made
clear. The working
environment and the
abilities required for
their work is present
sufficiently from the
observation which
positively adds to
their services and
outcomes (Hanna, et
al. 2015).
Through informal
gatherings and the
meetings the issues of
the junior assistants
can be redressed
which will help in
reaching the desired
solutions with the
assistance of the
senior assistants
(Deeley, 2014).
Secondly, it is
recommended for
NHS to carry the
performance
appraisal which will
help to evaluate the
performance of the
junior and senior
assistant which will
help in driving them
towards the effective
feedback resolving
and attaining
desirable behaviour
of both the junior and
the senior assistant at
NHS (Hanna, et al.
2015).
11

Senior assistant These are the expert
assistance that has
years of experiences
which assists the
junior assistants in
their daily activities
and guides them so as
to achieve the desired
goals. From the
observation, it was
observed that due to
the seniority concern
there arises
sometimes some
conflicts of interests
and the biasness as
senior assistants are
likely to delegate
their duties to their
junior assistants
which are likely to
create lack of clarity
of the working
(Deeley, 2014).
Due to the changing
duties, the clarity of
communication
should be ensured
which will help in
transferring all type of
information which
will avoid the conflicts
between the senior
and the junior
assistant. Thus
misinformed plans
and the works can be
eliminated and will
help in avoiding
conflicts (Dill and
Morgan, 2017).
