Current situation:
Currently I am a student of BSc Health and Social Care in Regent College London, United
Kingdom. I would like to develop my career in health and social care. So I require to analyse
my skills and work on my weaker section by making personal development plan.
Career Aspirations:
I want to develop my career in health and social care as I am pursuing BSc from the same
field. I want to do work in any nursing home as a health administration.
Why this Career?
It has been found that due to the spread of diseases, Health and Social Care sector has
several of vacancies as they are hiring well educated and skill full employees to work in the
health and social care centres. Along with this, I have generated interest regarding the health
care within me. My graduation degree help me in grabbing a good opportunity in the same

Gibb's Reflective Cycle is the model which was developed by Graham Gibbs in 1988
for the purpose of giving structure to learn from gaining experience. Basically, it present a
framework for the purpose of examining the experiences. It include 6 stages of reflection i.e.
description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and action plan. When I was working
as the Health Care Assistance, I learned how to treat patience. I also learn the positive attitude
which is necessary for the patience as it help them in getting well soon. But I found that it is
necessary for me to to learn the leadership skills and problem solving skills as it help in
grabbing the opportunities which help in making the career effective. For the purpose of
getting the job of health administrator I have to develop the leadership skills as I have to
perform several functions at hospital which are related to the leadership. Along with this, I
have to develop the skills of problem solving within me so that I can effectively face the
problem which may arise at hospital. When I was pursuing my graduation, I realised that I
also have to develop the skills of effective communication as it is necessary in health care
industry to properly and politely communicate with the hospital staff members and the
patient. It also implies the positive effect on the public and help in building the positive
reputation. It is required to develop action plan as it represent the entire skills which I require
to develop. It also implies the time frame in which I can perform the functions of developing
