INTRODUCTION
Use of professional discussion provides a holistic approach to have better understanding
and assessing knowledge in order to determine what a candidate is performing together with
analysis of their analytical and decision making abilities (Brown and et. al., 2019). Thus,
professional discussion facilitates a better way to test validity and reliability of a candidate in
process of learning. This assignment is based on the reflection over employability skills on the
basis of experience of a group presentation based on Samsung company for which use of Gibbs
reflection model is made in this assignment.
Main body
In order to provide reflection on various employability skills based the experience
gathered from a group presentation exercises use of Gibbs reflective cycle model is made
(Hynes, 2019). A description of various stages of Gibbs reflective cycle model is provided below
to have better reflection on employability skills:
Gibbs reflective cycle model
Use of this model provides a systematic way to think about various phases of experience
and feelings that are experienced by an individuals during an event or activity (Merriam and
Grenier, 2019). A description about reflection on various employability skills gathered for group
presentation experience is provided below:
Description- The experience gathered is basically based on the happing of a group
presentation. Under this, a large number of individuals had participated to gain better experience
and improve their skills and employability skills. All the participants and candidates are divided
into various small groups in order to have efficient group presentations on the information about
Samsung company. The presentation needs to be typically last up-to 10-20 minutes and should
include proper use of various ICT Skills to have effective presentation about the various
operations and features of Samsung company through use of computer and various flip charts
together with validate and authentic research information.
Feelings- This segment of Gibbs model provide information about various feelings
enumerated during an activity or event. At the start of this presentation I had a feeling of
anticipation as I was looking forward with a positive mindset in order to accomplish assign work
in more effective way. But at the same time also having a feeling of scariness and afraid as it is a

group activity and proper coordination and balance among all group members was essential to
accomplish assign group presentation in an effective way.
Evaluation- It has been evaluated by me that during the group presentations many things
and employability skills had worked really well while some inefficiency and adverse situations
are also faced. The most important and vital employability skills for any presentations is
effective communication and verbal skills that needs to be very clear and conscience in order to
maintain the interest of audience. My communication skills were really went well and made me
able to present all the research findings and relevant content in most effective and positive way
that makes my group presentation based on Samsung company successful. But, I evaluated that
my ICT skills was not up to the mark to to preset research data in an effective way thus, it had
evaluated that it can be improved to have better presentation through use of some better
computer techniques, skills and software to have more efficient use of PPT and other animations
in order to make presentation more attractive and interesting. Further, my research skills are also
effective and many modules and literature are reviewed by me in order to gather most relevant
and authentic data related with my topic. My skills of handling numbers is quite lacking that has
made calculations of various aspects a little difficult for me. But I got timely support form my
group members to overcome this issues. Along with this, to keep a phase and coordination
among various group members, my teamwork and team bonding skills worked really well and
also lead to timely completion of work through removing all chances of chaos and confusion. At
last, my time management skills made me capable to accomplish all the assigned work on time
without any delays. My problem solving skills was also effective that makes me able to easily
handle and keep a balance among various group member through timely resolving and
overcoming all possible issues and problems.
Analysis- On the basis of my experiencing from group preservation, it has been analysed
that the effective communicative and research skills makes me and my group able to have an
efficient presentation. A good quality work had been produced by me and my group and all of us
has contributed positively in the work. Further, it can be analysed that overall the presentation is
good but some better efforts can be made by me to have improvement in my ICT skills so that a
more interactive and informative presentation can be lead by me through effective use of
computer software and applications.

Conclusion- It can be summarised on the basis of experience of group presentation that
employability skills like communication and verbal skills, research skills, numeracy, time
management, etc. are necessary to accomplish an activity. It is has been also learned by me that
effective communication lead to better presentation and having an enriched experience. Effective
research skills facilitates collection of authentic and reliable data together with reference
evidences from module content to enhance viability and correctness of content of presentation.
Beside this, time management and teamwork skills are also applied to have balance in group and
achieve desired performance on time.
Action plan- In order to develop better ICT skills I can have some better computer
training and education to make better use of various computer software and application in order
to facilitate a better group presentation. Beside, an approach of proper bifurcation of work among
various group members according to their skills and strengths can also be made to have better
efficiency and coordination among group members.
CONCLUSION
On the basis of above assignment it can be concluded that various employability skills are
required to conduct and perform a group presentation in an effective manner that includes skills
like, communication, team work, research, time management, etc. to maintain a balance and
coordination to achieve desired performance on time. It has been also summarised that my
communication, research, time management and team work skills worked really well but my ICT
skills needs some improvement.
