INTRODUCTION
There are different skills and capabilities that is important part of individual performance. It is
very crucial that person have set of employability skills and competencies in order to conduct
business task in more effective and efficient manner (Bassot, 2016). This will consist of number
of skills or potential of employees that support in performing required task in more accurate and
appropriate manner. This report will include information about various employability skills such
as communication skill, researcher skill, numeracy skills and many more. Apart from this
reflection process is determined with Gibbs reflective cycle models.
MAIN BODY
Reflection on employability skills
I have determined that there are number of skills and abilities that should be with in an
individual for performing different task and activities in effective manner. Employability is the
combination of various skills set which is support in individual to perform organisational task in
required way as well as accomplish desired goals. Through personal and professional
development I have analysed that there are various skills which needs to be with in an individual
so that I can perform organisational task in required ways as well as meet the expectation of
organisation. There are number of skills and capabilities that will lead to enhance performance
such as communication skills, ICT skills, Numeracy skills, time management skills and many
more. These skill will support in me in taking correction decision for conducting effective task as
well as performance set of activities in efficient manner in order to attain desired goals of
business. I have determined that all of these skill are very important for a person as it will assist
in enhancing capability and potential of a individual to conduct required task in effective and
efficient manner. Personal and professional plan is significant in determine different skills which
is my strength as well as those skill which needs to be develop for attaining desired objective.
Communication skill – This can be describe as the skills or capability of a person to
communicate or convey message in required manner (Vicary, Young and Hicks, 2017). I
have analysed that communication is one of the essential skills of a person and it will lead
to have major impact on capability of individual. It is very important for me to develop
communication skills as in organisation I have to convey message and ideas to various
individual. I have strong presentation skills which will assist me in presenting my ideas

and message to other is correct manner so that all other individual can easily understand
my message. I have analysed that by developing strong and effective communication
skills I will be able to develop strong relationship with other respondents.
ICT skills – It includes business information and communication skills. It is important
for me to update my technical skills time to time in order to enhance these skills. I have
determined that I am not able to learn new technology fast as well as take time to
effective use information and communication technology in appropriate manner.
Research skills – This skill refer as the capability of a person to research and collect
better data in order to take appropriate decision. I have research skills and this skills
support me to take correct and accurate decision by analyse the information collected to
research. I have analysed that I will be able to develop effective business report will the
support of research skills. Through this skill I am able to analyse information for different
sources and gather accurate data for business decision making process.
Numeracy skills – My numeracy skills are very bad as it is very difficult for me to
calculate number and understand numerical data very fast (Cheng, 2017). This skills
refer as capability of an individual to express ideas or situation with the use of
mathematic information or data.
Team work skills – I have analysed that my team work skill will lead to have significant
impact over my capabilities and performance to conduct required task in more
appropriate manner. Team work skill can be describe as the potential for capability of
individual to manage work and activities while working with group of team members. I
am lacking in conducting activities in a group project. I have analysed that it is more
difficult for me to integrate my work activities with other team member as well as
coordinate with them to attain desired goals. It is very crucial for me to develop team
work skill so that I can correctly manage my work in team or group of people.
Time management/ organisation skills – Time management skill can be describe as the
potential of an individual that will assist in managing all activities and task in correct
time as well as successfully attain desired goals of business (Jho, 2016). I have
analysed that I am lacking in time management as well as organisational skill in order to
carry out business operations in significant manner. I have determined that time
management skill will lead to completion of all task in set time frame and organisational

skills will support in organizing all resources of business in such as manner that
maximum output gain be attain.
Problem solving skills – It skills can be describe as the potential of a person to take
correct step in order to resolve issues for problems of others. It is very important for me
to enhance problem solving skills as this will lead to develop my image in market area as
well as help in conducting task in appropriate manner. My problem solving skill can be
describe as the strength as through this skills I am able to identify and determine the
issues of other along with this I am able to provide better solution in order to resolve their
issues and problems. Problem solving skill support in developing my image in
organisation as well as create effective relationship with others.
Gibbs reflection cycle
This is a reflection model which is developed by the Professor Graham Gibbs. This
model was developed in year 1988 in the book name “Learning by Doing”. I have analysed that
this is effective model as this will support in identifying and determine situation as well as
learning through reflection (Burns, 2016). Gibbs cycle model consider of different steps and
action that will lead to analyse the situation clearly as well as determine the impact very
carefully. The steps that is includes in Gibbs reflection cycle model is mention below –
Step 1 – Description
In order identify and analysing different employment opportunities I have conduct self
analysis which will support in analysing and determining those skills which are strength as well
as those skills which needs to be developed. In this I have evaluate different types of skills and
capability which is necessary to be with in individual for conducting business task as well as
perform business activities in more accurate manner.
Step 2 – Feeling
While conducting self analysing regarding different employability skills I was feeling
very good about these skills which are my strength. I am motivated to develop and enhance all
those skills which are lacking as well as needs to be developed for increase skills and
capabilities. I this situation I was thinking about how lacking employment skills can be
developed.
Step 3 – Evaluation

I this self reflection process I have evaluated that I am successfully able to determine
various types of employability skills as well as my own skills. Self analysis process was very
good in order to understand own skills and competencies. The bad about its experience include
that I was not able to collect view point of other individual.
Step 4 – Conclusion
Through this situation it has been concluded that there are self analysis of various skills and
capabilities is very important and it will support in providing proper direction to developing
lacking skill (Habibi, 2017). It will be very easy for me to focus on those skills which is
necessary to be increased.
Step 5 – Action
If I had to do self analysis process again I will try to first determine all of emplacement
skills which need to be with in the person as well as those determine those skills which is
lacking. In this I will be able to classify skills which are my strength as well as those which are
my weakness.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been determined that there are number of skills that will assist
in performing task or activity in required manner. Employability skills is crucial for enhancing
performance or capability of employees. Communication skills can be consider as the personal
strength as it will assist in presenting ideas of message in more correct and accurate manner.
Information communication technology skill required technical knowledge and its is area of
development for individual. It has been analysed that area of development includes time
management skills. This skills will support a person to take correct and accurate decision and
complete task in right set of frame.
