Introduction:
I am doing BSC (Hons) in business management currently. Being a student of business
management, I have gathered innumerable learning experiences on how to manage and control
the workflow with which I am associated. In this very specific study, I am going to provide an
in-depth overview about the importance of building effective network with public for being a
part of business administration profession. In this study, I have shared some of my experiences
of facing different interviews. Along with academic qualification, an individual should have
professional qualifications as well. In this very specific study, I have evaluated on how my
professional qualifications have added additional values of my career.
Know your sector:
1.1 How can networking help you become more commercially aware of your sector?
Being a student of business management an individual should have proper knowledge,
skill and competency on how to build wide range of network with the public. Maintaining
effective communication with the public is one of the most important responsibilities of every
business professional (Rosemann and vom Brocke 2015). In addition, in order to widen the
horizon of network an individual should have proper knowledge and experience on how to deal
with the persons of various cultural backgrounds as well as attitudes. After being associated with
a business organization, an employee has to deal with the persons of diverse cultures. At the
same time, customers are from different geographical boundaries. As a result, the professionals
should have an effective communication skill based on which they can interact with every
individual person flawlessly (Wilton 2012). Language barrier may arise among the people

working in business organization. Amidst innumerable language barrier, the business experts
have to maintain proper interaction by making non-verbal communication as well. As a result,
building effective network with the stakeholders is one of the most effective ways of being
commercially successful.
1.2 Reflect on the networking experiences you have attended and discuss what skills you
used during these events
I have attended two events at my own institutions, which are very much related to my
coursework. One year before, I took a major part on the family day celebration occurred in my
institution. The primary objective of this very specific event is to assemble the family members
of students to make them relaxed and refreshed. I played the role of an operation head in this
event. Before executive the program, I had to make a thorough script on how to execute the
entire matter. I had to face immense challenges in convincing the parents for attending the
attending the event and to cheer their children.
On the other hand, I have attended another event few months before. This very specific
event was a book fair where the students of my institutions took initiatives in publishing books,
novels, short stories, dramas and so on. In this specific event, I took the role of assistant
coordinator. As an assistant coordinator, I tried to coordinate with the entire program. While
making an effective coordination with the guests I have faced immense communication barriers.
Educationists are from various cultural backgrounds and attitudes. As a result, I have faced
linguistic barriers while communicating with those eminent personalities. However, my effective
convincing skill, behavioral approaches left a major positive impact for making those
personalities understand to attend the event.

1.3 Analyze a professional qualification you could acquire alongside your degree
Alongside my academic qualification, I would like to add some professional coursework
as well in order to extend my career in the international market. Along with my business
management coursework, I have achieved two professional courses for enhancing my
professional skill and qualification. However, alongside business management course I have
completed event management course and multi-lingual course. I have observed that employees
of a business organization are from different cultural backgrounds and attitudes. As a result, I
need to grab multi-lingual flexibility with the help of which I can easily interact with my
coworkers. At the same time, an effective event management course would help me in
organizing an event properly and managing guests. After getting proper ideas on event
management, I would be able to enhance my decision-making skill, time management skill,
making strategic decision and so on. As a result, after being appointed as an employee I would
get preferences from my senior if I am possessed with proper decision-making skill, time
management skill, communication skill, managerial skill and so on.
1.4 Discuss how you plan to acquire these recognized professional qualifications
Only academic qualification is not sufficient for being an efficient employee in a
business organization (Goetsch and Davis 2014). In order to maintain an effective rapport with the
coworkers I have gained multi-lingual flexibility. This particular competency enabled me to deal
with the customers of various geographical as well as psychological backgrounds and attitudes.
In addition, language flexibility is the most effective way to grab the attention of human resource
managers. As a result, this additional qualification would be beneficial for both my career

development as well as personal development. Like the same way, one event management course
would help me in building my area of network more effectively. This particular course would
enable me to finish the allocated work within stipulated deadline. In order to survive in a private
organization I should have proper knowledge and understanding on how to complete the work
within allocated deadline. Event management course is very effective for grooming up a
professional so that they can render effective efficiency in taking the burden of pressure
(Alexander 2013). However, these additional skills would add my value in enhancing my career.
As a result, among large number of applicants I would get preferences from the interviewers. At
the same time, I am very much comfortable in operating technology. Therefore, I can handle
immense pressure by keeping patience.

1.5 Describe a current job description and the specification for a desired job in your sector
I have applied for the post of an operation executive in a renowned multi-national
corporation. In this very specific post, I would have to work under operation manager. The entire
inbound as well as outbound process would have to be maintained by following the instruction of
operation manager. As a result, the customers would receive the services within proper time
(Laudon and Laudon 2015). In order to maintain the entire operation process systematic, I would
have to make good rapport with every employee involved in this department. Otherwise, I would
not be able to share necessary information related to the customer services.
1.6 Reflect on the interview process and how well were you able to apply the STAR method
