A manager should have proper knowledge about the selection and recruitment methods that
are helpful for the manager for selecting and recruiting.
The manager should also have efficient skills in salary calculation and the employee’s

1.3 Make recommendations for improvement
Here are some areas that need to be improved and some recommendations are also given for the
specific areas -
Training for effective communication-
It is necessary for a manager to have efficient skills in communication with all the employees. A
manager should have proper training in verbal and written communication for increasing
organization performance (Suleman, 2016).
Strategies of time-management-
These are the basic skills that a manager should have for improvement and development. He
should have used and learned the strategies of time-management. It will be helpful for the
manager to increase organizational and his own performance. These can be learned through the
internet also as there are available many time management skills.
Staff encouragement-
It is needed to encourage the employees by bringing out them from their comfort zone and ask
them to use and exceed their achieved knowledge. This can be done through communicating
with them and by providing them the required resources (Asonitou, 2015).
Organizational improvement-
This improvement can be done by creating a development plan that will be created with the
worker’s career development plan. It can be done by enhancing the maintenance level and staff
engagement.
1.4 Review how motivational techniques can be used to improve the quality of
performance
There are different motivational theories for improving organizational growth. Among those
theories, there is applied the theory of Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs that have five basic needs
of an employee and will benefit the “National Trust” organization. Here it is mentioned below-

Physiological needs- A team leader has to manage the basic needs like water, food, home

Safety needs- observing and maintaining the basic safety always matters for each person and it
is the responsibility of a team leader. He has to observe critically the issue like employment

(Tsitskari, et.al., 2017).

with each-other or becoming good friends, also they support each other in every decision. So the
team leaders have to get the bond between them and should push them to perform well.
Esteem needs- Team leader has to put first the esteem needs of an employee. These esteem
needs are such as achievement, confidence, and respecting each-other and staff. It also improves
the culture at work and motivates the staff as well.

This has been concluded from the above task that it includes many aspects to identify and
analyze the effectiveness against the decided duties and performance objectives for a particular
job. It is effective to analyze the basic area from which improvements can be done in the
employee’s performance. This theory of Maslow’s requires a technique that is efficient for

resolved with time through management strategies learning. It also represents the communication

2.1 Develop solutions to work-based problems
As a manager, I have identified the various issues such as listening, communication, planning,
leadership, problem-solving, presentation, self-management, technology skills, professional
knowledge, teamwork, and time management, etc. Here are the problem description and their
solutions as described-
Lack of communication and coordination- Because of poor communication among the
employees of the “National Trust” organization, there is a lack of coordination that also affects
the customer’s satisfaction (Messum, et.al., 2016).
Solution: The organization provides efficient communication training to the staff so that the staff
coordinate with each-other easily through exact communication style.
High turnover of labor- Because of employee’s dissatisfaction, they leave the workplace or
have less interest in the work that affects directly to the quality of services.
Solution: The Company provides the monetary or incentive benefits to the staff who work extra
time for extra efforts to accomplishing the objectives of the “National Trust”.
2.2 Communicate in a variety of styles and appropriate manner at various levels
Communication is the main aspect of the organization that requires to be implemented and

8
Document Page
Formal communication- To write a letter is the most formal method for communicating in the
professional areas that are managed properly in an exact manner and thus it is called professional
written communication (Ruge, and McCormack, 2017).
Formal letter-
Senior Manager
National Trust, UK
20th June 2019
Head Manager
Respected Sir,
The “National Trust” organization is continuously facing these problems from last some days
that are affecting directly the business growth of the company. It is analyzed that the problem
is occurring due to coordination lack among the departments. There is also a main negative
impact on the company that is inappropriate communication style. Because of the problems,
there is less interest of employees and their turnover ratio is also enhancing. So, planning of
incentives and other benefits can be the solution for the problems.
Hope this organization will resolve the issues soon.
Yours sincerely,
Membership and Visitor Welcome Manager
Informal communication- This informal communication style is used by the administration
only that includes oral conversation through which it is easy to transfer the information in a
proper way.
Memo-

communication, the employees don’t complete the work in an effective way and turnover of
labor is also getting high because of this that decreases the service quality.
So appropriate communication process should be executed in the system with efficient extra
benefits and incentive scheme so that the interest of employees can be maintained about their
work.
Thanks and regards,
Taylor Vinsley
2.3 Identify effective time-management strategies
It is important for managers to develop successful systems to deal with the opportunities for
adjusting with the requests such as recreation, effective communication, and coordination, etc.
there are eight different aspects generally ineffective strategies of time management such as
analyzing the priorities, to-do list, achievements, delicate, rest, time management, technology,
and project. These aspects supported by these strategies-
Priority settlement- The organization “National Trust” should concentrate on the activities that
can be objectives and preference for the organization so that work can manage on time for the
other tasks too (Wolff and Booth, 2017).
Allocation of Time- It is necessary that every department’s manager should prepare the schedule
of time for the work so that work can complete on time before the deadline through the effective
method.
Settings for goal- The organization should always be clear about their goals and they should be
described to every employee because they need to be achieved on time for the solution of the
problems through the efficient management at the time of accomplishing the goals.
Conclusion
It results from this part that the problems that are occurred in the company require to be
described to the respective person in the informal or formal style. The communication process
and time management should be proper so that no issue can occur in the National Trust.
