1.2 Evaluate own effectiveness against these defined objectives
Self-assessment is a very important factor that affects the performance of the manager in any
organisation. The authorities have to keep a track of their responsibilities and their effectiveness
on the system and the members of the organisation. Training and sessions for self-assessment
helps the individual in the organisation to analyse the growth of the particular person in the
organisation and in the work environment. It helps in gaining knowledge about the work that has
been done and what is to be done in an organisation. Communication skills required by the
organisation by the individuals and authorities are also used to determine the effectiveness of the
objective assigned to them. The communication is very important for the visitor manager and its
team as they are directly in communication with the people who visits the site. Greeting the
visitors also plays an important role in defining the importance and effectiveness of the people
on the organisation (McGrath et al., 2016). It is a way to make the people special for the
organisation as it is dependent on the point of view of people. The self-assessment and
effectiveness is also determined for a visitor manager through the knowledge about the
prestigious sites. Defining of objectives plays an important role in the organisation for the
employees as they are helpful in achieving the predefined goals. But the main aim of a visitor
manager is to make the people feel about the importance of these heritages and geographical
areas and these needs to be performed by the visitor manager and team.

1.3 Make recommendations for self-improvement
The self-improvement techniques are used in the organisation to improve the efficiency of the
organizational system and its employees. The individuals in the organisation use these
techniques to analyse the working of the system and their position in the system. In National
trust, a deep knowledge about the artifacts and heritage sites are very important as the
organisation deals in the same. A person working in the organisation should be recommended to
visit at each heritage place for acquiring knowledge (Moore et al., 2016). This helps the
employee to understand a particular story of that place. Regular meetings with the higher
authorities are also recommended for the employees to analyse their performances in the
organizational system. Also, discussions with higher authorities provide a better path and way of
working. This helps in building confidence and level of trust for the employees on the higher
authorities of the organisation. Different types of exercises can also help the employees to enjoy
and self-assess their ability to work in National trust.

performance and that of your staff

organisation. National trust keeps on updating their interaction skills with the employees to
create a relationship between them to make them feel important to the organisation. Introducing
incentives is considered as one of the major enhancement in the field of motivational techniques
which are used to increase the quality of the performance. This also affects the working of the
managers specially visitor manager as they tend to more communicate with the visitors which
improves the reviews of the organisation and the heritage place. Appreciation by the seniors to
their staff is also considered as motivational techniques to increase the efficiency of the
employees. Motivational techniques also include making of a positive environment where

2.1 Develop solutions to work-based problems.
The given scenario explains the problems at the workplace of the National Trust. These
organisations are dependent on the communication between the employees and the management
for displaying the heritage sites to the public. Therefore, miscommunication and
misunderstanding is a common problem in the organisation (O'Neill et al., 2018). It is the duty of
the visitor manager to manage and divide the tasks at equal responsibility among the team
members. This helps to maintain peace among the team members and the other employees who
are being worked in the organisation. This keeps the focus of the employees and authorities on
their work rather than on comparing each other’s work in the organisation.

2.2 Communicate in a variety of styles and appropriate manner at various levels
Communication plays a very important role in any organisation to approach the senior
authorities. A proper communication channel is proposed in the National trust organisation,
which is used to connect the senior authorities to manager level and to lower level employees.
Communication with senior authorities can be achieved through mails and meetings (Presbitero
et al., 2017). For communicating with higher authorities, the lower level of the organisation can
connect to managers for putting forward their point of view to the senior level of authorities.
National Trust is an organisation where communication is the key to the improvements in the
working system. The mailing system formally and informally is allowed in the organisation to
connect everyone within the organisation.
Conclusion
The discussed techniques help to improve the system efficiency and remove the factors causing
miscommunication and misunderstanding in the system. Also, it defines various communicating
methods like verbal communication, mailing etc. to connect with the authorities of the
organisation.
