Introduction
Employability skills refer to the set of behavior and skills which are transferable and are needed
by an individual to become employable. The employability skills allow for communicating with
co-workers, solving the problems, making responsible choices, and understanding of their own
role within the team. This project report is related to the Employability skills of National Trust
which is an organization engaged in preserving the heritage of culture of a specified geographic
region. This report will include the National Trust’s membership and visitor welcome manager’s
responsibilities and performance objectives. Recommendations will be made with respect to the
self-improvements by the M&V welcome manager. Solutions will be provided for the work-
based problems, identification will be made of the time-management strategies. Roles of
different people will be explained in a team and analysis will be made of the team dynamics.
Different methods and tools will be used for developing problems’ solutions and appropriate
strategy will be developed to resolve the labor turnover problems.

Introduction
This is the reflective report of the National Trust's Welcome manager in which the
responsibilities and the performance objectives are developed. Evaluation is done regarding the
effectiveness of welcome manager against the defined objectives. Recommendations are
provided by which I can make improvements in my professional skills.
1.1 Develop a set of own responsibilities and performance objectives
Being a membership and visitor welcome manager of National Trust I have following
responsibilities-
1. I need to maintain a strong relationship with the customers and clients
2. The ability to make quick and firmed decisions
3. Developing the ability of learning and understanding within the work role
4. Outstanding skills of customer services
5. Conservation or heritage environment understanding
6. Having a good understanding of the National Trust

9. Training of the new members of the team and experiencing the recruitment
10. Legislation of employment, employment rights and responsibilities
11. Having ethical values
12. Effective plans development so as to attract the different number of visitors by enhancing
the visitor’s satisfaction level (Hartley, et. al, 2013).
Performance objectives of M&VW manager-
Following are the different performance objectives –

1.4 Review how motivational techniques can be used to improve the quality of performance
I can use Victor Vroom's expectancy theory, and Hertzberg's two-factor theory which will help
me in keeping myself motivated and I will also be able to keep my team members fully
motivated. The issues will get identified easily due to this and will help me in mitigating these
issues. I will be better able to focus on the problems of employees. With the help of these
motivational techniques, the organizational culture and environment can get improved thus
enhancing the employee's productivity level. My self-discipline will get promoted with the
application of methods of motivation. There will also be an enhancement in the work
willingness' attitude and interest.
It is very significant to use these motivational techniques as if they will not be implemented
properly the employee’s interest will get decreased towards the National Trust’s. Demotivated
employees will not cooperate and they may spread unwanted rumors, demonstration threats,
creation of problems of management (Jones, 2013).
Conclusion
Hence, it can be said that there are various responsibilities that I as a welcome manager of
National Trust has to follow and performance objectives will help me in evaluating and
monitoring my performance. Some of the techniques of motivation are required to be adopted so
that the member's and employees' performance can get improved with good quality.

2.1 Develop solutions to work-based problems.
Introduction
This management report will provide the solutions to the problems that are being faced at the
workplace regarding the arguments that have been made between some of the staff of National
Trust resulting in the creation of unfriendly atmosphere.
The claim is made by some of the staff members of National Trust that few members of the team
cannot get through the workload as fast as should be made by them and due to this others have to
work harder. This has created the unfriendly atmosphere in the working environment of the
organization and conflicts are arising among the staff members. They do not work in
coordination and cooperation developing the feeling of dissatisfaction among them. therefore, it
is required that training programs should be organized in the organization and everyone should
be made compulsory to attend so that the employees who are lacking in getting the effective
working of operations and completion of tasks on time will learn the skills and areas where they
are lacking so that the improvements can be made by them. This will make them efficient
enough in tasks accomplishment (Rosenberg, et. al, 2012).
The staff members should be encouraged and motivated for the cooperation as if they will
cooperate with their team members then good coordination will develop among them and few
workers will not handle the work burden. Instead, everyone will help each other that will not
hinder the productivity level of employees and interpersonal conflicts issues will not occur. The
strong relationship will develop among the staff member which will prove beneficial not only to
them but also to the organization as a whole. Regular meetings and group discussions should be
organized so that the team members can have good communication with each other and sense of
belongingness can be developed among them (de Guzman, and Choi, 2013).
Conclusion
Hence, it can be said that for resolving the problems that are being faced by the employees of the
National Trust the organization of the training programs should be made. The cooperation should

should be organized so that effective communication can be made.
