Introduction
Hotel and hospitality industry has been creating a huge number of employments all over the
world in the recent times. It is one of the most prospering industries now a day. For working in a
hotel industry, one needs to understand and analyse their own strengths and weaknesses so that
they can improve upon their skills and use them correctly for the betterment of the industry they
are working in. Such sector needs certain specific skills, which are compulsory to work in that
sector. If any individual lacks such skills or are inefficient in utlisation of such skills, they should
work upon such areas to achieve perfection (Issayev et al., 2018). They should also form a
development plan personally so that it can help them in the development of self-qualities for
professional career as well. Such SWOT and Personal Development Plan analysis helps in
continuous development of an individual and the threats arising due to weakness can be removed
to make full utlisation of resources for fulfillment of objectives.
SWOT Analysis
SWOT Analysis is essential so that the strengths and weaknesses can be identified which are
present in the personal characteristics of the individuals. This analysis aids an individual by
motivating him to take decisions in such a way that their weaknesses can be dealt with and
removed and the risks arising in the professional and personal career of the individual, which is
creating a threat, can be removed. The SWOT Analysis of the personal qualities of an individual
can be stated as follows:
Introduction
Hotel and hospitality industry has been creating a huge number of employments all over the
world in the recent times. It is one of the most prospering industries now a day. For working in a
hotel industry, one needs to understand and analyse their own strengths and weaknesses so that
they can improve upon their skills and use them correctly for the betterment of the industry they
are working in. Such sector needs certain specific skills, which are compulsory to work in that
sector. If any individual lacks such skills or are inefficient in utlisation of such skills, they should

quality will create a hindrance and hamper my relationship with the customers and the
employees of any concern I will go to work. Therefore, I need to work upon this skill so that my
relationship with the employees can improve in the course of time and this will help me to get
employment in such industry. Various seminars and workshops held on communication skills
and teamwork will provide an opportunity for betterment of my skills. Improved communication
and teamwork skills will help to get employment in the hospitality industry. On the other hand,
cut throat competition and frequent changes in the laws and rules of employment may create a

Conclusion
From the above Personal Developmental Plan it is evident, that there are various shortcomings,
which should be improved in order to get employability in the hospitality industry. There are
various strengths as well, but they should be improved from time to time in order to cope up with
the changing trends of the society. There are other new skills, which should be added in order to
get employment in the hotel and hospitality sector. The SWOT Analysis and Personal
Development Plan analysis done in this study will help an individual to get employment in the
hotel and the hospitality sector of the industry by applying the academic, personal and
professional skills, which the individual is possessing.
Conclusion
From the above Personal Developmental Plan it is evident, that there are various shortcomings,
which should be improved in order to get employability in the hospitality industry. There are
various strengths as well, but they should be improved from time to time in order to cope up with
the changing trends of the society. There are other new skills, which should be added in order to
get employment in the hotel and hospitality sector. The SWOT Analysis and Personal
