Introduction
The most crucial part of an individual’s life is Employment. Many of the people keep a thought
in their mind that they are not ready to get employed and hence they miss the chance to grip a
good opportunity or job. The skillset required for a specific job is important for any job profile
but simultaneously all other interactive and social skills are important too along with these skill
set for a specified job that will be beneficial for future aspect. For the core job profile, the core
skill sets have given high preferences then the skills like communication skills, management
skills, leadership skills, etc. the main objective of this research is focusing on several
employability skills that highly concentrate on real life-based situation in National Trust as a
Membership and Visitor Welcome Manager. National Trust is a place that welcomes more than
20 million visitors to their properties every year.

Task 1- Be able to determine own responsibilities and performance
Introduction-
The report contains all the details of the roles and responsibilities of membership and visitor
manager. Also, the manager provides several performance appraisals that is following up the
following processes-
Develop a set of own responsibilities and performance objectives for your new role
There are a set of responsibilities and objectives to enhance the performance of individual or
group that are as follows-
Communication
Teamwork
Leadership
Problem solving
Learning
Planning and organizing
Technology and many more
Being a membership and visitor welcome manager, I would set my own responsibilities and my
personal objectives according to the criteria of National Trust objectives as-
- It supports training work, service and preparation time for the development of employee’s
self-performance and responsibilities at National Trust that encourages their original
performance
- By providing training through the designed procedure for self-management, knowledge, and
continuous development that is applied to the whole scenario that is from regular level work
to progression level work, and also up to labor, work-based knowledge, and advanced
training.
For National Trust, my goals must be very clear for managing all the membership and visitor
activities with better productivity. I must have a capability for making decisions for National

Trust that is beneficial and bring profitability for National Trust. I must get ready and capable
enough to learn and develop with my job profile to work with efficiency so that all the activities
of membership and visitor can be managed effectively. Apart from this, I must have proper
knowledge about employment laws that must be in my mind as far as I am the manager at
National Trust. All the ethics need to be followed in national Trust in the presence of my as
membership and visitor manager. All the employment rights and responsibilities should be
carried out for all the employees that are working under my guidance for proper management
that make a discipline balance too in Nation Trust (Suleman, 2018).
Evaluate own effectiveness against these defined objectives
Above all these above-defined objectives, the main objective is the performance objective that
should be achieved by each and every employee at National trust. If every employee under me
should evaluate their work capability and their work performance so that they can work
efficiently for National Trust. I can also self-evaluate myself like various skills audits and
questionnaires must be accomplished by each and every employee at National Trust including
me.
As self-evaluation is an important aspect of an individual in an organization to evaluate their
skills and knowledge and evaluate their work-performance in company. Through this evaluation
process, one can work over their drawbacks and utilize some tools for their performance
enhancement. And several skills audits and questionnaires can be achieved that can help in self-
evaluation process. These questionnaires include some practical questions on the basis of that,
each of the answer reflect your work-performance.
Make recommendations for self-improvement
Self-improvement is a vital step taken by an individual to improve their individual or group work
performance at organization. These self-improvements is must needed by employees that can
help them in high-earning roles that enhance their growth potential. These recommendations can
be-

Sometimes we are in a disturbing situation or sometimes we take out things differently as per the
circumstances and by thinking more about that we ourselves make things complicated for our
own. Sometimes while having a conversation with the senior authority we don’t have any idea of
what should we talk about and at times we have an OPTION that shows us the ways to
communicate with all the peers and supervisors.

Several performance appraisals can help an individual to improve their work efficiency and for
that, they can use performance appraisals like strengths and weakness for promotion, needs of
training, bonus payments and salary levels, and communication. The appraisal criteria can be

based on multiple data that is judgmental data, production data, personnel data. Through ranking
method employees can evaluate their performance and make self-improvement and these ranking
methods are a checklist, ranking, paired comparison and the objectives by the management
(McLaughlin, et. al., 2019).
Review how you can use motivational techniques to improve the quality of your
performance and that of your staff
Motivation is defined as an action by people, their willingness to do any work and to accomplish
their goals. Motivation plays an important role in performance quality as it has an impact on an
individual’s substantial effects and their psychological effects. The employees who were
motivated in exceed level performed a good quality work and get success and the employees
who get lesser motivation performed with minimum efforts. Mainly the objective and goals of
National Trust highly depended on the motivation of mine and the other employees working over
there. So this is my responsibility to motivate the employees working with National Trust so they
can achieve and accomplish their goals and targets to improve their own work performance and
National trust also get profitability through such motivated work performance.
There are several motivation theories that can be applied to motivate the employees like
Maslow’s hierarchy motivation theory and Herzberg’s two-factor motivation theory.
Maslow’s theory of motivation works for the fulfillment of the basic needs of person that is-
safety, esteem, physiological, self-actualization, and social (Tambunan, et. al., 2018).
Herzberg’s two-factor motivation theory basically revolves around two factors that are
hygiene factor and motivating factor. With the help of this theory, an organization has job
satisfaction with some factors while there are some factors that cause dissatisfaction.
Here I use Herzberg’s two-factor motivation theory for the motivation of employees in the
workplace. Both the factors have their own effects in the workplace. Hygiene factors let the
employee work less if they were not present. These factors are not self-present in the actual job
but these factors surround the job. National Trust provides hygiene factors for the employees like
job security, compensation, organizational policies and steps, supervision and many more so that
employee get motivated and work as much as they can. On the other hand, motivators or

motivating factors makes the employees motivated so that they work hard to achieve specific
task and goals. These factors were present in an actual job. So the employees at National Trust
get motivated with motivating factors like leadership, reward, working structure and many more
and work efficiently and effectively (Kotni, et. al., 2018).

Conclusion-
It is concluded that the report will show the responsibilities and role of membership and visitor
manager and let them evaluate their work-effectiveness. The reflective report works for
employee’s self-improvement, their work performance, and motivates them for working with
motivating factors.

smooth running of an organization and ask for negotiation process in case of nay dispute and
conflicts occur between employees and management or between two ends of employees’.
Introduction-
The workplace comprises of a huge number of employees and all the employees differ with their
age difference, their culture and tradition and their several kinds of organization functions. With
the help of a range of strategies, all the issues and problems can perhaps resolute within an
organization or workplace.
Develop solutions to work-based problems
The National Trust Company has a huge number of employee series. Hence various explanations
have been recognized for resolving the problems for job-related (Suleman, 2018).
Negotiation is a prime explanation for all the arguments and fights at the organization. If there is
a problem between employees or between employee and administration then the higher experts
like managers and many other head experts act as an intermediary between them for resolving
the arguments and fights. By following up some approaches negotiation can be achieved for
solving issues-
When the negotiation can be accomplished between two ends or more than two, then all the
individuals convoluted in fight and arguments benefited in certain means. Things like winning
hardly matters in negotiation and both the ends get benefited only and nothing is entirely mislaid
by any of the end. The method of negotiation has been attained and accomplished without any

warning given to the individual position that is indulge in such problems and conflicts
(McLaughlin et. al., 2019).
The issues at the workplace level can be resolved and settled with supervisory incentives for the
workforces and employees. For the settlement of problems with the workplace, the employees
collect an amount as compensation amount from the company and probing for not taking the
problem in public. Apart from this, the workplace provides some prizes and incentives amount to
keep holding the employee within the workplace (Siddiqui, et. al., 2018).
For avoiding these types of problems in the workplace, a well-joined communication system
must be established. Through the availability of all these communication systems the employees
can directly connect and communicate with the workplace authorities and management if they
are facing any problems and issues within the organization with either co-workers or
management. With the help of such a system, many issues and problems can be escaped because
there is no contact or communication gap between the employee and the workplace authority or
experts.
The main problem that is required to be recognized and inspected follow up by the reasons that
lead to the occurrence of problems and issues. The administration sector should have all the
information and knowledge of reasons and the background details of problem and issue. The
techniques and methods that will solve the problem must require to be tested and investigated
properly before the final operation for a problem solving scenario. So the conflicts and
arguments can be resolved between the employees and organization administrative authority
(Dimitrova, et. al., 2018).
Conclusion-
The teamwork is a vital key element for the smooth running or functioning of the workplace that
permit all the employee in a team to work together to accomplish a particular task or objective.
An employee in an organization has their unique and personal skill set and the workplace force
them to work extra on it by the help of few strategies that are applied for the motivation of an
employee. The settlement is necessary for resolving the problems and issues of an employee with
