Introduction
The module that I am studying at the university is best suited course that would help me to
achieve the objective my future career aspiration. This is seen that the bachelor’s degree, human
resource management helps in achieving the objective of making my career more aspiring. My
career aspiration getting at the high post in the companies in which I am working and to enter
into the management of the company so as to bring the company at the top position in the market
(El Mansour and Dean, 2016). By getting the degree it would open a new world for me to
achieve the career that I am supposed to get. My career aspiration is to work in the company that
would help me to work with my ethics and the values so as to achieve the company’s objectives
in best manner.

1.1 Write a brief overview of what degree programme you are studying and what your career
aspirations.
This is seen that every student has some future aspiration which is related to the career that they
choose for their future. This is seen that while taking admission in the college I chose to get the
bachelor’s degree in human resource management as this would help in increasing my
employability skills and achieving the objective of increasing and polishing the skills that are
already built in me. Through getting the degree and achieving the professional qualification the
demand for my skills will increase in various companies and new career opportunity would open
for me. The course that I am pursuing is 10 week programme that would help me achieving the
objective of enhancing my personal skills and performance (Jackling and Natoli, 2015). The
module is based on the practical implication and hence this would help in building the practical
knowledge, skills and confidence in me. Hence the main purpose of choosing this as my career
aspiration is that through this I would be able make the new network also I would be able to
flourish my skills of employability so as to apply them in my real and practical life.

1.2 Critically appraise Johari’s window and the Clifton Gallup Strengths theory in relation to
career development.
The analysis of the strength and weakness which are related to the career aspiration are necessary
to be analysed as this helps in enhancing them in the best possible manner. Therefore the Clifton
Gallup strengths are considered to be one of the most important and beneficial tool that helps in
identifying the strengths that are established inside me. So for this purpose I have used the tool
that is known as Johari’s window and Clifton Gallup strengths so as to analyse the strengths that
are within me. This is seen that Johari window has made the psychological tool that helps in
understanding and training the self-awareness, personal development, improving the
communications, interpersonal relationships and group dynamics (Jackson, 2015). This tool is
based on the soft skills that influence the behaviour of empathy, corporation and inter group
development in the employee. Some of the themes that are the related to my strengths are
describes as below:
Input: This is the strength that specifies that I am an inquisitive and want to collect the
things that are associated with the benefit of the company. Hence through this I would be
able to help the company as to collect the information that is best suited for the company.
Hence this strength would help me in making my career phosphor.
Includer: this describes the strength that I would be able to make the network wider. That
means that I would be able to collect the people that are working in the organisation so as
to work in the group so as to achieve the task in the best and the proper manner.
Strategic: This specifies the strength of mine which is related to doing the sorting that can
be achieved through the clutter so as to determine the route that can be determined so as
to achieve the objective of the organisation. Hence this is seen that it helps in enhancing
the career because the company are demanding the people with the strategic strengths in
them.

1.3 Discuss how you can apply elements of these theories to achieve your career aspirations
This is seen that elements that are discussed above would help in achieving the objective of
making my career more enhanced. These elements if used on the regular basis would help in
enhancing the career and the focusing on the aspiration of the career. There are various ways
through which the career can be enhanced of which some are specified by Clifton Gallup which
includes Input, includer and strategic. These are considered to be appropriate for achieving the
opportunities that are related to the career progress (Lazarus and Ferris, 2016). Also this is seen
that the theory that has been defined by Johari would help in making the distinction between the
area that is required to be shared and the area that has to be made to be bring to focus of the
managers of the company. While the area that has to be made discoverable to the group and the
management of the company so as to specify the strength. Hence through this I would be able to
make the managers of the company know about the strengths of mine and this would increase my
aspiration and scope of promotion.

2.1 Identify and analyse a professional qualification you could acquire alongside your degree to
increase your chances of being selected for this position.
It is considered that while I am pursuing the bachelor’s degree in human resource management
and hence this is seen that for the purpose of getting professional degree so as to increase the
chances of getting selected I have chosen the course of CIPD. This is the course that is most
important and is demanded by various company as this helps in creating HR management
professionals. This helps in the getting various HR related rules in the country. This course offers
three level which are required to be passed by individual so as to get the professional degree. The
main benefit that is related to the CIPD qualification is that these are recognised across various
organisation and if the degree is taken then the opportunity to get the job increases at a rapid rate
(Messum, et. al., 2016). This is seen that HR and L&D are the two department that are found in
each and every organisation and hence this is seen that these are not limited to one specific area.
This is seen that many employer requires that the employee has at least one CIPD qualification
as this is required for them to achieve the objective of getting the prerequisites.
It is considered that this course has various benefits of which some of them includes that these
are valued by the employers, HR in the business. It is considered that these are flexible to meet
the needs of the employer and hence these are demanded by them at the first.
Hence this course would help me in boosting my earning potentials and certain knowledge for
the professional membership.

2.2 Reflect on your own current skill set in relation to the professional qualification and how you
could further develop them.
For the purpose of getting best in class skills and achieving the objective of making those skills
more appreciable the sills and the strength in me needs to the identified. This is seen that the soft
skills of the people are the one which are primarily used in the first place when interacting with
various person. It is seen that the company needs the employee to have hard skills that helps
them to make their company achieve best in class performance. There are various skills that are
associated with me.
Leadership: it is the skill that is most important in each and every employee that helps
them in achieving the objective of leading the group of people or the employee’s that are
working in the organisation. This is seen that this is skills is best suited in me as I have
the leadership skill so as to make the group of people lead according to the desired
objectives. This is seen that management and leading the team is important as this would
help in profitability to the company. It is seen that for the purpose of developing and
enhancing the skill this is important for me to hold various leadership programme so as
to be more practical in leading the group of people. Also the training and development
programme is taken so as to enhance the performance.
Problem solving skill: It is the skill that is related to the problem solving of the employee
of the company. This is seen that this skill is required by every employee of the company
as it helps in achieving the objective of solving the problem internally among the
employees themselves. This skill is best suited in me as I have seen that my problem
solving skills are good and I am able to solve the problem very quickly. This would help
me in professional qualification as this is mostly demanded by the company. This skill
can be increased or can be enhanced through the process of taking various seminars and
training which would help in increasing the skill and making it more practical.
Time management: this is considered as the skill that is required by the professionals as
the management of time is one of the most important task that is necessary for the
company to have in their employee. For this it is necessary for the employee to check
various requirements that the task required so that the task can be completed on timely
manner (Wolff and Booth, 2017). This skill is best suited in me as I have seen that my
time management is good, but a good thing can be made better and hence this is seen

that there are various approaches through this can be done. This can be done through the
process of taking the strict actions on the time management. Reducing the lag time that is
wasted while doing the job for taking the intervals during the job.

impactful company that has taken my interest is the HSBC holdings PLC. It is seen that the
company has opening of recruitment manager at retail banking and wealth management. The
location for this job profile would be one centenary square, Birmingham (Overton and
McGarvey, 2017).
This is the job that has the task to recruit the highly educated and specific employee who wants
to get entered into banking sector so as to manage the wealth of the customers and sell the
products of the bank to the customers so as to achieve the objective of making profit for the
company. The role that is required to be performed for this role includes,
Applying the HSBC resourcing strategy and ensuring them to execute them properly.
Managing the R&O activity from the primary entry level to the senior level through the
process of current RPO and MSP model.
Driving of the great candidates hiring of the managers and HR experience.
The qualification that is required for this job is having the bachelor’s degree in human resource
management or CIPD professional. The person should have the experience of working in this
post with the other company.

The CV and the LinkedIn profile is considered to be one of the most important document that
helps in specifying the skills and demonstrates the information that is related to the individual.
This is seen that it is considered as the profile look up paper which helps other person to
understand about the professional skills and knowledge of the individual (Suleman, 2018).
The CV that I have created is considered to be one of the most prominent mirror of my
professional life. The CV specifies the skills and the knowledge that I have and I am confident
with. This is seen that my CV contains my Education level from where I have got my degree and
in which year I have got that degree. My various career history is also specified in this CV.
While the LinkedIn profile of mine is considered to be having the basic information of mine as
this defines the area from where I have secured the degree and my career history. These both
form of the profile viewer helps in making the reader understand the skills and the resources that
I pursue and which can help the recruiters company to achieve the objective as defined by the
management.
