1.4 Review of motivational techniques to improve the quality of performance
One motivational theory is McClelland theory which can be adopted by me. In this
theory, the focus is on the needs for achievement, affiliation and power of employees. These
three needs are described as the basic motivators which can motivate the employees to do work
better as they claimed that employees acquire learn from their motivators over the time that is
being reasoned. Thus, it is also termed as 'Learned needs theory'. Another motivational theory, I
can adopt is Maslow's Need Hierarchical Theory. This theory has a pyramid in which there are 5
needs of employees which are as follows - physiological, safety, love and belonging, esteem and
self-actualization. This theory will help me to better understanding of my employees' needs and
accordingly motivation drivers which can be used for the purpose of encouraging the employees
to do better performance.
Various motivational techniques are used by me to improve the quality of performance of
mine as well as employees of the trust. These motivational techniques are such as -
Provide Continuous Feedback – By providing continuous feedback to the employees, they will
get the opportunities to improve their performance which will improve their productivity and
efficiency. Along with this, I should ask my superiors to provide me continuous feedback so that
I can improve my performance quality.

reward system achievable. This will help employees as well as me to get motivated and do work

the company in decision making process so that we can understand their expectations and views.
