In today's developing and competitive society, skills plays very important role in the
personality of an individual. Each and every business organisation perform their task with a main
motive of enhancement and growth in the profitability. And for this, there must be effective
skills within an individual so that they can perform all their work in an effective manner. In the
current context, employability skills are going to be discussed which will be responsible for the
overall development of a business entity (Ayoubi, Alzarif and Khalifa, 2017). In the present
report, Orchardville Company is chosen as the base company which is limited by guarantee with
a status of social firm. It is the report which is based on health and social care. It is the report
mainly focuses on the responsibilities along with skills which will assist the performance of
whole organisation. Along with this, it is the report which includes various techniques & tools
which need to be considered in order to raise the performance and efficiency of an individual.
Moreover, there are some motivational skills which are going to be discussed which will assist in
maintaining the quality of performance.
TASK 1
1.1 Developing own responsibilities & performance objectives.
In order to develop set of own responsibilities, it is required that skills of a each and
every individual must be evaluated. In order to evaluate my own skills as a manager within
Orchardville Company I have chose SMART technique. It assist me in order to personally
examine my own responsibilities & roles and responsibilities. Their are some specific roles as
well as responsibilities which is considered by an assistant manager.
Involvement of staff members in the process of decision making: It has been identified
that employees are one of the most important element of an organisation. In the context of an
assistant manager, it is my responsibility to take feedbacks, suggestions and views from my staff
members while taking any kind of key decision. As a result, this will make them encouraged and
motivated and perform their task with loyalty (Bearman, Munday and McAvoy, 2015).
Assessing the performance of employees: Apart from the above responsibilities, it is
also said that I have to evaluate the performance of each and every members. As a result, it will
assist me as an assistant manager in order to understand which individual require training and
development sessions in order to enhance their effectiveness.
