INTRODUCTION
Employability skills refer as those skills and capability of individuals that is crucial for
gaining desired job role as well as performing organisational task and activities in more
significant manner (Tattum and Tattum, 2017). This report will includes different employability
skills which needs to be developed by individual for performing required set of task in more
accurate manner. Apart form this personal development plan is created which includes proper
plan to enhance these skills.
MAIN BODY
Area of development
There are various types of employability skill such as communication skills, time
management skills, research skills and many more which will support individual to conduct
required set of task in more significant and better manner. I have determined that I needs to
develop and enhance different employability skills with the motive of increase chances of
attaining desired job role as well as performing its activities in more effective and accurate way.
Different skills are mention below -
Time management skills – This is one of the significant skill that is crucial for
developing employability potential as well as performing set of task and activities. Time
management skills refer as the capability of a person to manage time in such a manner the work
will be completed in desired time frame (Cottrell, 2015). I need to develop a SMART objective
for increasing time management skills. SMART objective is -
To enhance time management capabilities for completing of all task before deadline with
in 3 months.
Time management skill will support in organising my work in appropriate as well as
meeting with the deadline of all task. Time management skill is considered to be essential by
developing this skill person will be able to prioritizing various set of task with the motive of first
completing important and urgent activities. It is very important for me to develop these time
management skills as well as enhance my capabilities to conduct organisational task in effective

or efficient manner. By enhancing my time management skills I will be able to always stay
organized and able to maintaining clear picture of the task that need to be done. I have analysed
that time management skills will help in me prioritizing different task as well as completing them
as fast as possible. It is crucial for me to develop time management skill so that I am always be
on time for meeting and do not miss any important information (Chen and Huang, 2017). There
are various issues and problems that are affecting me to develop time management skills as well
as successfully complete all task on time. I have determine that I am not able to correctly
prioritize my work and due to this missing deadlines of important and urgent work. This is the
major issues which is affecting me in order to develop time management capabilities. In order to
overcome these issues I have to learn regarding classification of work on the basis of important
and urgent task. I will help me in dividing all take as per it urgency and important. Through this
I will be able to focus first in all task which is both important and urgent. Accomplishment of
time management objective will increase my capabilities and potential to full fill the expectation
of business as well as meet with the needs of organisation.
Communication skills – This skill can be describe as the capability and potential of
individual to convey message and ideas in more clear and appropriate manner. Communication
skill is important employability skills as in this a person is able to properly listen, speak, read and
write which support in smoothly conducting business activities. By developing SMART
objective of communication skills I will be able to increase my capabilities to communicate
message in more accurate manner. Objective is -
To increase my speaking communication skills with in 2 months for giving presentation
in organisation.
I have determined that mostly recruiter will always look for communication skill while
selecting or hiring candidate for any job role (Dolga and et.al., 2015). Due to effective
communication skill I will be able to pass on the message and ides in such a manner that other
person can correctly understand the transferred message. This skill is essential for giving
presentation of ideas in organisation in more creative and innovative manner. Communication
skill will support in developing or creating strong relationship with other employees in
organisation. It is important for me to develop communication skills as through this will be able
to to clearly send my message to co workers as well as explain ideas is more innovate way so

that receiver can gain correct information. This major issues which I have faced while
developing communicate skill is lack of confidence as well as use of correct work to explain
message. I have determined that I am not able to speak properly in front of large group
(Agafonova, Bryukhova and Kaigorodov, 2015). My manager have given me feedback to
increase my capabilities to increase capabilities so that I can give effective presentation in front
of others. For overcoming the issues for communication skill development I have use different
tools and approaches such as internet, books and many more. I should watch more videos
regarding speaking skill development. This will help me in gaining more information about how
can I give presentation or communication with other in more confident way. I have determined
that vocabulary could be developed or increase by reading more books. Through this I will be
able to learn sentence framing with correct word so that receiver can clearly understand the
message. I should practice more in order to increase communication skills and develop
confidence while conveying message to others. This will be very supportive in increasing
personal as well as professional capabilities to convey message or ideas.
Problem solving skills – Problem solving skill is crucial skills which is essential for
proving new and creative solution to individual for conducting required set of task of business. It
is important for an individual to develop problem solving skill as this will support in enhancing
capability to find and convey creating solution to different problems. I need to focus on problem
skill development as this will help in increasing my potential to provide correct and appropriate
ideas for business problems. Objective for problem solving skill is -
To develop problem solving skills in order to increase my capabilities to provide better
solution to business problems with in 4 months.
I have understand that by developing problem solving skill I will be able to give better
suggestion or strategies for resolving complex issues or problems of business. This will help me
in enhancing my image in organisation as well as developing better relations with other
employees. My co worker have informed me that I am week in problem solving capabilities and
due to this I face various issues while conducting organisational activities. The major issue or
issue that I came across while developing problems solving skill includes that I am not able to
take correct decision on right time. Due to this my solutions to problems are of no use and affect
accomplishment of desired goals. In order to overcome this issues as well as provide better

solution to the problems of business I have determined that it is important to clearly understand
that issues as well as determine different aspects that is related to the issues. I should correctly
analyse the reason of problem and identified different options that will support in resolving
problem. By evaluating different pros and cons of each solution or strategies of problem I will
be able to take correct decision regarding resolving business problem. This will support in
considering each and every aspect of problem and provide better solution that will correctly
resolve business problem.
Research skills – This skills refer as the capability or potential for individual and find
correct and accurate data for taking better decision. Research skill will support a me to identify
and analyse different data so that I can take correct decision as well as create accurate strategies.
This type of skills includes report writing, data collecting, analysis of information and so on. It is
crucial to create effective and SMART objective regarding research skills. Objectives is -
To enhance data collection skills with in 2 months for improving research employability
skills.
I have analysed that it is important to develop strong and effective research skill in order
to perform business task in more effective and efficient manner. For me research skills needs to
be increased with the motive of finding right information form appropriate sources. This will
support in enhancing my capabilities to take better decision regarding organisation as well as
provide better strategies which is develop by analysing proper data. The issues for accomplishing
objective and increasing research skills are report making (Ekaterine and Natalia, 2017). I have
determined that critical thinking approach is significant in for collecting data as well as analysing
information in correct manner. Due to lack of critical thinking approach and incapability to
correctly analyse data will lead to have negative impact on my potential to develop research
skills. I have determined that I need to focus on critical thinking skills for enhancing research
skill as well as creative report form representing collected data in more significant or innovative
manner. In order to successful increase research skill I should take support form expert. This
will help me in providing correct and accurate direction through which I can develop my
research skill as well as present collected data in innovative manner. Expert have in depth
knowledge as they will be able to provide insight knowledge and increase my capabilities to
write better report.

Team work skills – It can be describe as the ability of person to perform well in team as
well as use full potential to successful attain common objective of team. It is crucial for me to
increase my team working capabilities in order to enhance employability skills. Team work is
essential employability skill as this will support in performing well in group of people. It is
important to coordinate with other group member with the motive of successfully accomplishing
desired goals of team. Objective for team working skill is -
To increase my capabilities for collaborating with other team member with in 3 months
time frame in order to accomplish team objective.
My team leader has given me feedback that I am not able to correctly coordinate with
other team member due to this my team working skills are lacking. It is important for me to
develop team working skills and conduct task and activities with in the team in more effective
and efficient manner. By developing team working skills as well as integrating task with other
team members I will be able to increase my relationship with other team members. The major
problem in developing team working skills confusion regarding roles and responsibilities. There
are many times that I do not have proper information about conducting task as well as confusion
regarding conducting work (Tran, 2016). This is affecting my work as well as capability to
successfully perform required task. I have decided that in order to overcome this issues it is
essential to clearly discus with team leader about the work as well as ask them to reduce
confusion while working. This will help in providing proper direction about the role in team and
timely completion of the task. Through this I will be able to coordinate and collaborate with
team member correctly and contribute maximum in order to accomplish desired goals and
objective of team.
