Introduction
To achieve something in life one has to work hard to achieve their career aspirations (Grote,
2017). Similarly, to be a successful hotel manager one has to work harder in their
management studies. Consequently, I am working on business management studies to
become a respectable hotel manager. Certainly to achieve all this it requires key strength like
being an achiever is a necessity, adaptability, communication, discipline, focus, futuristic,
harmony, a good learner, positivity, responsibility, and individualization. All the above-
mentioned factors highlight the Clifton Gallup strength, which helps in achieving one’s
career goals smoothly (GALLUP, 2018).
Moreover, in context of johari’s window theory certain strength, which helps in achieving
success, is trust on others, certain beneficial motives are to be considered, behaviour, attitude.
Inner strength always helps in achieving one’s goals correspondingly; I am working hard as
possible to be a desired manager with the sense of being an achiever, which defines a
constant need for achievement. It helps in moving forward and forcing me towards the next
accomplishment (Self-Awareness, 2018). Other than this, certain people have certain strong
beliefs and values, which are enduring within one self that makes it easy to trust, that is
mandatory to achieve one’s career aspiration. Communication is the main element that draws
attention and that why people will like to listens you (Martin, 2017).
Therefore, it is essential that a good communication in the field of hotel manager is
mandatory. Being discipline towards work makes goals more clear and easy to execute them.
Clear destination in the mind is really important because focus is what you need , what you
want to become, how will it be done all such questions make you alert towards your goal ,
which always make me focusing to achieve my career aspiration (Smith, 2013). Being
futuristic always fascinates us and it always keeps you pulling forward, into tomorrow. This
is again one of the greatest factors that make me goal oriented and helps in achieving my
desired position (Litiano, and Major, 2016).

An element that highlights and are aligned with the companies values and ethics are as if we
talk about Hilton worldwide they are more oriented towards the teamwork they believe that
all the problems can be resolved if employees of an organisation work hand in hand and thus
leads to the discipline working condition in the organisation. A good communication within
the organisation leads to the proper flow of information between employees, who ultimately
affects the working behaviour of the organisation and will be more goals oriented and will be
beneficial for the success of organisation and for his/ her personal development (Bowman,
2018). Even researchers have focused on integrity they say in organisation all people are
treated with dignity, respect and courtesy (Cowan, 2016). Along with this, they are more
dedicated towards the ethical and moral standards, which include honesty, loyalty and

the individuals. A leadership quality develops the highest potential among oneself to achieve
the personal and the professional excellence. Creating the value-sharing environment, which
states that employees and organisation, both should have continuous encouragement,
confidentiality assurance and promotion of values (Anastasia, 2016).
Corporate governance is one of the elements, which get easily align with the values and
ethics of the company by proper rules, processes which, are engrossed and controlled by the

order to generate individuals and organisational success (Domagalski, 2014).

me to perform well for my job. Another important advantage of networking is to learn from
the experience holder, which generates an incredible opportunity by taking advices from
them to gain more experience, which will definitely help me in improving my career goal
(Brathwaite, 2018).
After all the initiation made in building relationships, gained confidence, established
reputation which will ultimately make me focus towards the opportunities and this finally
directs me in the direction of success by heading towards each ladder step by step. Therefore,
networking is the greatest chance to build social relations in the hospitality industry (Nadel,
2014).
Self -reflection
In an entire study and by attending events I have learned a lot, which helps me in growing in
my career path and not only personal basis but also it, which will surely benefited to the
organisation too. While attending event and gaining experience through the process of
networking it highlights the certain skills that I have used to make it more achievable.
During my training programme, a thankyou event was organised by the company, there
whatever I have gained during my training sessions I used my skills to make it a fantastic
thankyou-in party. There I gave a major attention to customer service skills, teamwork, and
creative problem solving and having a thorough knowledge about the local resources so that I
can manage it properly and put my all the gained skills for success.
I had a focus on customer service skills, as they are the most crucial part of the hospitality.
Like a careful attention over food details, thorough knowledge about the restaurant’s current
offerings and a good memory is very crucial because what all customers’ needs should be
provided to them, which also leads to good image and affects the overall feedback from the
customer. I made my workers to work at the fast- pace this leads to a good impression over
the customers. I made my workers to work more diligently and should give attention to minor
details towards customers. I told them to work well in team quickly and calmly in the high-
pressure environment.
In management, all you need is thorough understanding of teamwork, leadership, budgeting,
and strategic thinking. By adopting all such skills, I gained a good response from the visitors
who loved visiting thankyou party. Over all the above skills, personal skills are must, which
me to perform well for my job. Another important advantage of networking is to learn from
