Tesco is a multinational supermarket chain which is holding the third largest position in the
world in terms of profits and the second largest in context of revenue that it generates. Tesco is
totally diversified in various areas and render the best services. While working as a HR manager
the aim is to ensure that the various activities are being carried out in an effective manner. There
is a structured process which is being followed in Tesco as there is huge customer share is being
served by the organization. Hr manager ascertains that the objectives and goals are attained in
proper manner. There are very key aspects which are to be considered in order to hold on the
valuable customers.
TASK 1
1.1 Objectives and responsibilities
HR manager design the framework in which they ensure that the performance aspects
about the various roles and responsibilities which are to be attained for the organization. It is the
responsibilities of the HR manager to determine the effective working in order to ensure that the
entire functioning is carried out in a proper manner. Being the human resource manager of
Tesco, the key responsibilities and objectives which are involved are discussed underneath:

their job or not and if not, reasons are being assessed in order to make them satisfied. Proper
feedback is being given to employees so that they can focus on attaining the set goals and
objectives of Tesco. In this way, organization is providing a healthy and effective working
environment to employees (Henshaw, 2011).

The major problem which was encountered in Tesco was the training structure. Thus,
firm requires new ideas and innovation in order to keep on functioning successfully. As the

advancement the organization implements the same in order to keep on functioning the lacking
aspect of training and development among the employees is the issue which is being faced. This

practise will help in holding the workforce in the long run and polishes on various skills of them
so the organization keep on functioning successfully. With proper modification in training
methods, drastic transformation can be bought in the performance of employees. With the
adoption of the new techniques will bring modification in the working of the individual which
will help to enhance the entire working.

employees and this affects the image of Tesco. The employees are not satisfied with their
functioning as they are not clear about their job role and lack in training which affect their

performance. The strategy of properly distributing of the work among the various personnel can
be adopted to reduce the problem of improper functioning.

With the proper strategy formulation and the execution of the work in a proper manner,
Tesco had a potential impact of the strategies which are being adopted by the hr manager. It
helped in an effective growth of the organization for providing the best training to the employees
of the organization.
It motivated the employees as they are now clearer towards their goals and objectives
which are ascertain by Tesco. The proper monitoring and evaluation of their working are done in
order to ensure if there is any requirement of the further training in the areas of their working
(Cassidy 2006). The contribution increases when the employees are clear with their job
functioning and the strategy helps them to meet the expectation of the organization. By
measuring the person skills and ability the work is being allotted to the employees at the various
levels. Proper encouragement of the various key personnel is done so that that they have the
belief that they are the part of the organization. This in turn ensures that the best is being
rendered.
They keep on modifying the work environment so that the continual performance of the
employees is carried out and they are able to meet the desired goals and objectives.
