INTRODUCTION
The present report is undertaken in order to make necessary judgments about the
effectiveness of the skills which needs to be possessed by a candidate for his/her domain of
job(Watty, Jackling and Wilson, 2014.). The report will discuss the standards in relation to the

desired job.
MAIN BODY
Task 1
Being a student under the graduate scheme, i have studied different theories which have
benefited me in making a professional from an individual. There were different theories which
been studied during the term of the course i have been into, but there were two of them which
has impacted me in a significant way and they are: Theory of work adjustment and Self-concept
theory of Career development(Abas-Mastura, Imam and Osman, 2013). Through these theories i
have learned a lot about how a candidate who wants to pursue his dream job can develop the
certain skills required for that particular job. The two above said theories have made me
understand the difference between type of works small, big, important, etc.
Also for the purpose of getting my dream job i have identified the strengths that i have in
order to more work on them and make my CV more strong so that employer lay more emphasis
on it. For finding out the strengths i have used Gallup strength finder and i have come up with:
Voice, Communication, Flexible, Team player and Time management as my strengths. Talking
about my voice it is bold, strong and audible enough. My voice speaks my confidence towards
the respective matter. Communication refers to those skills which are needed to talk to another
person and make him understand your point of view. I am flexible to every situation that comes
my way. I am a good team player because i never let down my team members and in need i
always help them. Meeting the deadlines is what i strive for, that's why i think i can manage the
time very well.
These set of strengths will help me in building my confidence level towards people, the
more i talk to strangers the more i develop as an individual and professional(Herman, 2015).
Moreover these strengths will help me achieve the desired objective of my life.

standards shapes the career of an individual. Among which some standards are there in the
industry which help me to achieve the desired outcomes in an appropriate manner(Laetitia

to have a good communication skills, Flexibility, Positive attitude towards the things and
behavior towards people should be gentle.
The above standards are important for me as i am planning to have my career in travel
industry these traits in my personality will help me succeed in the interviews for the desired post.
To inculcate these standards in my personality i will have to attend different course which will
build my confidence towards the sector. To build good set of communication skills i will read the
books, novels, newspapers, etc. which help me to gain knowledge as well improve my skills.
Engaging in more and more things and matters will help me to improve my opinion towards the
various things and also will help in generating flexibility towards different circumstances that
comes my way. Being in the tourism industry behavior of the candidate towards its client plays
an important role so in order to keep that in control(Brooks and Kay, 2014). These all traits if
inculcated will help me and my employer in making ab good brand image if they selects me. But
if i am able grab all the traits in me then i will be the preferred candidate for the employers in an
interview.
