Figure 1: Own Set of Responsibilities
In the set of responsibilities identified, the fundamental aspect is to define personal
responsibilities which are further divided into direct and indirect responsibilities. Personal
responsibility is a vital skill which I need to possess. It is crucial because as a hotel manager, it is
vital for me to take accountability of my activities as well as the quality of work performed.
Further, it denotes that I will be responsible for my future success and failures(Wihler, et. al.,
2017).
As per the set standards of Travelodge for its managers, decision-making is another skill which is
required to be developed by me. For taking any decision, it has to follow a set process which
includes gathering information, identifying the alternatives, cost and return analysis, take a
decision, and lastly review the decision on the basis of outcomes (Reichard, et. al., 2017).
Furthermore, it is required by me to be a positive leader at first to make employees work
effectively. Moreover, strong communication is further required to delegate tasks or work easily
to the employees.
To adhere the corporate vision is another responsibility which is required by me to possess. It
further includes maximizing sales and profit as well as customer service.
Performance objectives can be set by using the SMART model which will be specific,
measurable, attainable, and reliable and time bound (Peng and Mao, 2015).
