This assignment revolves around the responsibilities of a specific job, where each policy and
strategies which enhance the skills in employee to improve their performance in the workplace.
Employability skills are general skills which are developed over a period of time after being a
part of any organization. In this report, there is a discussion over the issues arises in the
workplace by the employees or the employer which affect the growth of the organization. There
are various strategies which resolve these issues by the coordination between the employees in
the work environment. The purpose of this assignment is to compare all the activities regarding

Introduction
This report refers to the self-learning of employees on their own, all the employees of the
organization will know their duties, activities, and targets in their workplace. It helps to develop

1.1 Develop a set of own responsibilities and performance objectives
Being a manager set various responsibilities and objectives towards the Travelodge hotel, which

a manager the functions and duties are linked with the Human resources management of the
organization, all the duties and performance are mentioned in below:

1.2 Evaluate own effectiveness against defined objectives
When manager evaluates their own ability, capabilities, and duties in the organization, their first
work is to identify the vision, targets, and objectives continuously. Manager observes their
objectives, set by the organization and related with the purpose of the company. There are some
efficiency is analysis by own self regarding the team groups they are:
Improve duties towards employees; manager divides various duties to their employees
according to the employees' capabilities it will help to the team management, and provide
tasks on the prior bases so it will help to complete all the tasks within time.
Use the rights and powers according to the purposes in the right time, for the purpose of
achieving the objectives of the organization.
Improve knowledge; to improve the team employee’s knowledge by providing them
training programs, sessions, information, new ideas for completing the company
objectives. It will help to increase the team employees’ skills, improve their performance.
Manager carefully evaluates the working schedules of the team it will show some issues
against employees working schedules.so in that case, the manager solves their issues and
fix all the problems that can be faced by them.
Some positive, as well as some negative factors, are affecting the capabilities they are
such as the manager evaluates their own strengths they found their abilities helps to
improve the team staff members.

1.3 Make recommendations for improvement
In the organization there are various things that want to needs improvement which helps to
complete the objectives, aims of the organization. Some professional skills are needs for little
improvements they are:
Plans and organize: When the manager check professional skills it shows current
situations is average in nature however some planning needs improvement, employees
skill development plans should be improved, it will increase the efficiency of employees.
Communication management: this factor current situation is shown average but
sometimes in the internal environment of the team staff is disturb and confused because
of some issues: misunderstanding, hurdles, bias, and so on. So in that case manager will
provide the arrangement of group discussion with their employees, provide training for
better communication.
Present the information: This process takes times; it is a long term process the current
situation shows negative response so it should be improved by the help of providing
guidelines to all the team members to learn the correct presentation way by their mentors,
leaders, and managers.
To solve the problems: This factor is necessary to improve because organization staff
solves problems solutions but in individual they don’t find out the solution with their own
self. So, in that case, IT provides the facilities to help employees to find the right
solutions according to the problems.

1.4 Review how motivational techniques can be used to improve quality of performance
According to the Maslow Theory, Motivation is the best technique which helps to satisfy the
need of the employee. These techniques not only improve the skills of an employee, but it will
also increase the quality of their work that will increase the performance.
Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs theory provides various methods that will help in motivating the
employees also:
Participation of employee: When somebody involves in the activities, they will ensure their
learning and they became the capable individual who takes the responsibilities. It enhances the
encouragement of the individual who places their opinion in front of their folks. Participation
increases confidence also.
Reward: Motivate somebody by proving their work in front of team members also. The reward is
a kind of money or promotion will motivate the employee. This will amplify the energy of
employee; it will make a different space in their crowd.
Space for the living: Most of the time people leave their home town only for their job. The
accommodation facility in some other cities or country will be difficult for an individual. If an
organization provides an accommodation facility to its employees, it will help them to enhance
the quality of work also.
Conclusion
From the above task, the conclusion is made and shows various responsibilities of the manager
towards the organization and their activities, efforts given to the company. It also defined the
various effective capabilities of the manager found by their own self towards their team staff and
for the organization. Tasks are shown there are some improvement is needed for professional
skills.

In this report there are some issues are coming towards the company employees during their
workplace. The manager finds some solutions to work-based problems.
2.1 Develop solutions to work-based problems.
Work-based problems entered in every organization and they affect the whole organization as
well as their employees. It is a natural problem faced by organizations. Every person able to do
work with their own styles and choices in a different way it can’t match with other employees
but for the organization, it is important to every member of the hotel work with jointly to achieve
the company goals and objectives. Every problem has different solutions which are finding by
the manager of the company, and provide the best options to solve the problems. Hotel
Travelodge also faces problems and their solutions are identified they are as follows:
Lengthy working schedule: Hotel Travelodge employees work irregular because of long hours;
they face many problems due to their long schedules of duties in organization. It can be stated
that the company head departments are busy with other professional purposes that affects the
whole organization. So in that case manager should identify the base of the problems and check
the working hours schedule of the employees and manage the schedule according to the work of
priorities and create plans for effective working schedule that means employees will complete all
the tasks within given time period. It helps to provide better results and save their time and
achieve the organization goals(Jiang and Jiang, 2015).
Leadership management: Hotel face many problems such as lack of leadership management,
manager sometimes doesn’t understand the employee's emotions, there working load, stress level
so it shows negative impacts to the whole organization and it affects all team groups members.
The solution to this problem is to Manager should identify with their own self means what they
observe for employees works, check the working area of employees, ways of employees works,
discuss with employees about their works, helps those employees who face stress, motivate
them, rewards all employees who work with full dedication, enthusiastic.
