In modern world the travel and tourism sector has been growing rapidly. In this case it is
essential for the employees to be skilled and effective. In terms of handling the workplace
properly the staffs must have some skills. The general skill is based on different types of activity
such as communication, problem solving, planning and implementation, teamwork, self
management, technology, learning and initiatives. It has been noticed that the own
responsibilities and performance objectives help to develop self assessment in workplace. With
the help of proper skills the employees can develop proper decision for the development of the
company. Thus, the communication and problem solving skills are effective for the business.
Basically, in the company there can be some problems and the problems can be solved with
proper managerial skills as well as management strategies. However, in terms of conducting the
study the company Travelodge has been chosen.
Travelodge Hotels Limited can be identified as the private company that has been operating in
the hotels as well as the hospitality industry throughout the United Kingdom. This is the second
largest hotel business in the UK. They provide effective hotels and services in proper budget
which help them to attract more customers and sustain in the competitive market.

My responsibly as well as the performance of the employees has been analyzed in the below part
of the study

Team work: In the business proper team work is important. I have identified that the
effectiveness of the team performance can provide better impacts than the individual
performance. However, the overall team performance can be depended on some activities like
equal involvement of all team members in the decision making process (McLaughlin et al. 2019,
p.90). Also the proper supports of the team members are also essential. Thus, I have the
responsibility of develop my team work more.
Creativity: With the help of proper creativity the companies can get proper helps from the team.
I can also help the business with creative ideas and support the team along with their
performances. Thus, my major responsibility is to implement a training session for employees to
understand the simple way to conduct their job in a well manner.
Communication: As per my thinking, proper communication system can enhance the
understanding of the employees. Thus, the team performance can be developed with effective
communication. Along with this the issues among the works can be managed with proper
communication as well. With the help of communication system the staffs can also develop
better decision as well.
Problem solving: With the help of this skill the team members can reduce the issues from the
workplace. Like this the company can gain proper success. As per my opinion I have the
responsibilities to solve the business problems with proper problem solving skills.
Leadership: The leadership quality improves team bonding and direct team to fulfill the
objectives. I have observed that team leaders have taken the help of information technology for
finding solution of issues and track team members performance.
