1RESULTS OF EMPLOYEE BENEFIT
Field of Research
In any company, the employees are not only attracted to the salary that is being provided to them but also to the
added benefits that the company offers to the company (Tessema, Ready & Embaye, 2013). Every company
provides their employees with certain benefits such as health plans, retirement, insurances plans among others; these
motivate the employees to continue working at the organization for a longer period of time. According to certain
reports, 30% of the compensation provided to the employees comes from the benefits that are given to them. These
benefits motivate them to work longer hours and put in their best efforts, some small companies fail to provide
benefits to the employees and that is the reason their employee retention rates are low. This research will look into
the companies such as Mahindra, Eicher Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Hero Motorcorp to study whether employee
benefits have affected the revenue of the company..
Secondary Data Sources
The annual report of the companies like Mahindra, Maruti, Eicher show that there are a lot of investors who
have invested into these companies. From the year 2013-2016, the companies have suffered losses as well profits
and they also provide a lot of benefit to the employees hence their employees have stuck with them for many years.
These are few of the reports from the company Mahindra (www.mahindra.com., 2017). These reports show that
there is lot of money that is invested into the company. The money always does not come from the profits of the
company but from the investors that help in building the company and then share the profits. This is the 2016-2017
financial report of the company Maruti Suzuki and it shows the breakdown of the finances of the company
(www.competent-maruti.com. 2017). These companies experience a lot of turmoil as the size of the company is big
and a lot of investors buy their share. They sell their share hence a lot of their investors are also the shareholder of
the company.
Research Variables
For this research the benefits that the employee get from the company is considered to be the independent
variable of the research and the revenue of the company is considered to be the dependent variable of the research.

The question that this research will try to answer is how employee benefit expenses related to the revenue
of the company is.
Search Term
The main key terms of this research are employee benefit expenses, employee satisfaction, revenue of the
company, the productivity of the company and the performance of the company.
Existing Research
Employee benefits are a great way of hiring new employees for a small business start-up. New talents get
easily attracted to a company that has several benefits. 30% of the compensation that the employee receives is from
the benefits that are provided to them. The companies can invest in health plans, dental and vision care, life
insurances and retirement plans. These are the ways that the company can provide benefits for the employees. The
various benefits that are provided to the employees motivate the employees in a great way. They feel more reluctant
to leave the job, as others might not provide the benefits that their company is providing. Employee benefits are
great ways of retaining the employees as the employees gets attracted to the benefits more than the salary that is
provided (Shahid & Azhar, 2013). These are the main researches that are existent in the areas of employee benefits,
salary and revenue of the company.
