Empowerment means giving the authority and power to employees to engaging in the
thinking process of an organisation. In other words, Empowerment refers to the authority and
delegation of power given to the employees to engage them in the organisational thought
process and provide them opportunity to ensure their involvement in the organisational
activities and jobs by contributing their input as an effort or suggestions to the organisation in
order to achieve the success. Empowerment means generally giving the responsibility and
ownership of the job to the employees and asks them to make their own decision on the basis
of their thought process (Baird, Su, & Munir, 2018). Employee empowerment is a
motivational technique that helps the organisation to enhance the contribution of employees
in the organisational success. Involvement is generally creating an environment for the
employees to involve in the activities, provide their input, and make the decision on the
behalf of the organisation. However, these two concepts are interrelated with each other. For

suggestions are represent by the employees, which further help in continuous improvement in
the employee’s performance to ensure their involvement in various organisational operations.

and power of decision making during the employee empowerment process, but it does not
mean that manager renounce his power or authority, while he empowered the employees. The
organisation must understand the importance of employees’ decision-making and motivate
them to think about the organisational success and take the decision fearlessly. Support of top
management is really appreciable and requirement in the employees empowerment tool used
by the organisation. The organisation should also empower the employees to think about the
creative and innovative thinking that will help the organisation to achieve its goals and

it expect that management will provide free hand to the employees and when employees
creatively think, it will result in a greater performance, quality, ideas, and decisions of
