INTRODUCTION
In today's business environment, every organisation is facing challenge of absenteeism.
This will reduces productivity as well as performances of employees. It is crucial for companies
to reduce absenteeism from their company which can be possible by increasing employee
engagement in the workplaces (Dom and Ahmad, 2019). Employee engagement is the concept of
human resources that shows a dedication and enthusiasm of workers towards their job. It is
necessary for organisations to increase employee engagement in the company so that they will be
able to ensure the success and growth of organisation. This is the essay that will be discussing
employee engagement programmes which is necessary for the company's overall development.
This will be also discussing absenteeisms can be control with the help of employee engagement.

In companies, it is significant for organisations that they should give importance to the
employees so that they will feel that they are important. This will not only increase their morale
but also assists in increasing the performances of employees (Ahmed and et.al., 2020). It affects
on profitability, customer experiences, revenues, employees turnover, etc. According to the
research, it shows that 92% executives believes that employee engagement is necessary for
organisations as it performs better and also boost success of company (What is Employee

valuable assets of company. It is vital for organisations that they should develop employee
engagement programs in the workplaces. Employee engagement programs will assisting
organisations to boost morale and performances of employees.

employees towards achievement of organisational goals and objectives. Programmes of
employee engagement are including trainings, workplace parties, sports events, recognition,
learning lunches, team building activities, fundraisers, etc. These are the basic activities which

they should include three important elements that are leadership, professional growth, and
rewards and recognition. It is very important for the companies to involve sustainability in

many negative consequences such as reduction in productivity, increase in employees turnover
ratio, etc.

employers. Employers get benefits such as they are able to retain their talented employees,
attracted qualified employees, creating a harmonious workplace environment, developing a team,
