INTRODUCTION
People management is the end-to-end process for acquiring, optimizing, and retaining the
personnel at the workplace. In the business organization number of employees is working who
are recruited and selected by human resource management is also known as people management.
This is the systematic process of managing people at the workplace and getting the work done
effectively (Pambreni, Khatibi, Azam and Tham, 2019). Human resource management of each
organization is playing the important role as it identifies the vacancy and recruit the skilled
employees by analysing their skills and abilities which can help to develop the organizational
performance. In each organization employees are important as it understands the organization
requirement and provide the satisfaction by offering kind of services. To understand about
people management ASOS Plc has been selected that is British online fashion and cosmetic
retailer, was founded in 2000 in London (About ASOS Plc. 2021). The management is having
leading position at the workplace who analysis the environment and managing each function
with the help of employees. The current report covers discussion about motivation and the
factors that influences employee motivation.

Motivation is the continuous process of attracting and retaining the top talent at the

each organization it is important to have clear understanding about employee issue, and
management is requiring to solve them properly which can help to develop the organizational
productivity. Without motivation it would be difficult for company to influence and retain the
people at the workplace as it increases employee’s turnover and lower productivity. Motivation
is the main aspects for each organization as it helps to create the good working environment and

roles as it creates the link between employer and employees that can help to fill the employees

creating effective working environment which can help to reduce the employee turnover and
improve profitability.

makes happy to their staff and leads to stability in the organization. The management of ASOS
Plc, uses the motivation schemes such as training and development, compensation and benefits,

is good leader and management then it will be effective task for organization to develop the
business activities and performance. Leader is playing the important role who introduce the new
change and getting the work done properly which can help to attain the business goals and
objectives. The leadership is the effective factor which is strongly agreed with organizational
activities and gets completion of task with the help of proper guidance. The leader of selected
organisation is having major role it conducts the research and introduce the products and services
accordingly which can help to develop the business activities and functions. This person
understands the changes and provide proper training to their staff which enhances the

organization management provides a good work life to their staff that can help to make feel them
comfortable and delight by organising all resources and capital. It has seen that if employees are
enough motivated are less likely to take sick days, leave the organization and work for long
hours willingly that can help to develop the organizational activities and performance. In relation
to ASOS Plc, management make sure that all staff are working effectively and reasonable hours
that supports to bring the changes and accept them properly which can help to develop the
organizational activities and profitability. This is important for management of selected company
to understand the business requirement and employees issues then create the work life balance

When I was studing in London University I came to know various skills and abilities that
helped me in personal development. The subject of study was Human resources management
where I learnt how to manage the people and allocate the work between them which could help
to complete the project. I participated in the motivation classes where I learnt that in business
environment there are many motivational factors which can be used to motivate the people and
getting the work done from them. In the subject I have learned that what types of problems

facing by employees and how could be satisfied. While preparing the report and discussing about
motivational factors I focused on learning which increased my learning in different areas. When
I was studying in college I selected the motivation topic where I came to know about different
factors that could influence the employee’s motivation and develop the organizational
productivity. My tutor has assigned me a project that needed to be complete in fixed period
where I used my skills and built the effective team that helped me to complete the project. While
doing study I have gained the sharing skills, decision making skills, leadership, team work and
strategic thinking skills. Herein, I analysed that I am good in communication, writing, problem
solving, and collaboration skills which can help to managing and arranging the task on certain
time. This can help to increase the individual as well as team skills for the purpose of managing
project and report. I also analysed that before having such skills I was unable to manage the
team, leading all member, getting the problem each project that made me feel so nervous. The
motivation subject and learning classes was very helpful and valuable for me where I learnt
different types of skills and abilities that surely would help me to complete any project in
upcoming period. I learnt about different motivation drivers which made progress in
understanding the important subject ideas. My team member faced the problem in sharing their
opinion and views where I helped them to follow the openness personality trait which supported
to share their opinion and views for the purpose of completing task and attaining the higher
performance. After taking classes I can assure myself and my senior that no struggle would face
in the future as all skills which I have learned would help me to solve any issues that might be
arises while working. During the working I also analysed my weakness such as lack of
mathematical skills, lack of training, decision making skills and leadership which I improved by
understanding the problem and observing the people that provided me good opportunity to
improve skills and get the future employment chances. I am feel very good and comfortable as I
enhanced my knowledge in particular subject that made me feel that I became a more
independent learner. With the help of learning skills and abilities I could get the good future
opportunity and maintain higher performance.
CONCLUSION
From the report it can be concluded that motivation is the important practices which is
used by organization to influences the employees and getting the work done effectively. The
ASOS Plc is requiring to have proper knowledge and skills which can be used to influence the

employees and motivate them properly. The motivational factors are creating working
environment, training and development, work life balance, leadership, development, reward and
recognition that are used by selected organization to motivate the employees and managing the
higher performance. Without motivation it can be difficult for organization to run their business
