In today's business world where inventions and innovations are reaching heights, the competition
also goes hand in hand. To compete in this environment, it is very important for the global
organizations to hire skilled human capital. As the success of international companies depends
on the human factors, capital is no longer the only factor that decides the future of the
organization the factors that influence the business is communication, motivation and leadership.
(Linh Nguyen, 2017). Apart from this, it can be stated that motivation can be derived from the
Latin word "movere" that means "to move", motivation is an internal factor that keeps the
individual moving, engaged in a task to perform better. Motivation is a key factor in the
changing business environment. it is highly important for the productivity, quality of service and
interest of an employee in the work.
In a workforce, the primary activity is to find the motivation factors of the employees and then
make policies and plans in the form of promotion, incentives, training and development or
participation according to the factor influencing the employees to be in the race. There are
various ways of motivating employees, some of them are setting examples, the leader must
always set examples of being enthusiastic, hardworking, punctual so that employees follow and
stay motivated. Recognition and achievements for this they can appreciate the recognition for
their work and achievements keep the employee motivated to improve their techniques and try to
achieve more. Motivating employees by all these methods have an overall result of gaining profit
to the organization in the global network. (Chron, 2019.)
Various motivation theories have been put forward in order to understand the meaning of
motivation. There are basically two categories in which these theories can be discussed.
Motivation that explains "what" whereas, the second types of theories that is called process
motivation that explains the ‘'How''. The content motivation theories are highly accepted in the
workplaces but are least accepted In the academic circles. Content theories have the concept of
finding the needs and relating motivation to satisfy those needs. Process theories are concerned
with the process, how can motivation be achieved successfully(Tankonyvtar, 2011). It also
analyse the different theory that is ERG Theory(Existence needs, relatedness needs, safety
needs) which comes under the content motivation theories, it was proposed by Alderfer.

Alderfer tried to explain that there are basically three types of needs, existence needs are the
basic material necessities i.e. food, shelter, clothing along with physical safety. The relatedness
needs are referred to the needs of connection with other creatures like colleagues, family to get
the love, affection recognition. The growth needs include the need for development, reaching the
next level, need of self-actualisation. The theory explains that the motivation factor keeps
changing once the need is satisfied, the other need appears now that becomes the motivation
factor. Similarly, in the workplace the leader should know and motivate the employees by giving
them a purpose to achieve different motivation factors.
Locke's goal-setting theory: Locke's goal setting theory comes under the process of motivation
theories. It explains that setting goals and objectives gives direction and purpose to the
employees. The goal setting is to be done in a systematic way so as to work in a structured
manner and stay motivated and also set the challenging factor .It also Measures the
improvement of the goals and that leads to the objective. Along with the organizational goals,
the improvement of employee knowledge always motivates them as they can measure their
personal growth.
On the other side, it also analyse the concept of CSR(corporate social responsibility) that provide
the profit to their business and provides the goods and services in return of money. But
according to the modern concept of global business, the international organizations are also
responsible for socially to behave ethically towards the culture, economic and environmental
issues. There also lies various laws that define CSR. According to which the corporates have
responsibilities such as promoting and supporting activities that encourage social, cultural,
economic and environmental issues. this is beneficial to both the society and the corporates as
the indulgence in these responsibilities increases the goodwill of the company. It also define the
legal responsibility that leads to the revenues. A viable business to earn a profit. (Bahaudin,
2015).
It also define the CSR and environment which consist the human activities and that harm the
nature, the nature needs to be safeguarded the corporates can help in a way as, firms require
customers. Customers need employment and that encourages the hiring of the socially
responsible people. They also opens the schools in the backward regions to educate and aware
people about the activities that harm them and the nature. People, planet, profit: the organization

should involve people(customers and employees) to save the planet and then earn the profit. It
also involve the Ethical issues that incorporates into the values, promises and obligations to the
stakeholders other than the shareholders. It also emphasis the benefits of CSR to the organization
in the brand building is also not negligible, the reputation is improved in the eye of customers
and that motivates the employee to maintain the status according to tp the company's reputation.
In the modern business world, it can be analyses that trends are changing according to nature.
There are certain activities which is related to political issues and the firm that is indulged in
creating awareness and promoting socially responsible activities gets preferences, operations and
eventually profits. The future of the business is now decided by the communication, leadership
and motivation unlike before that capital invested was a deciding factor. Now, the more the
employees are satisfied the employee turnover is low, the company is bound to achieve success.
It also discuss the different methods for motivating employees that leads to attain the goals
