RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research method
Research Methods re considered to be the systematic plans set for conducting the
research. This is the process which is generally used to collect the essential information
related to the specific field and data which helps in making effective and efficient decisions.
There is generally two types of research that is quantitative research and qualitative
research(Dogru, T and et.al., 2019). Quantitative research is the research which includes
the systematic investigation of a phenomenon by collecting and gathering the quantifiable
data and also by performing the statistical, computational and mathematical techniques.
Whereas qualitative research is the research which is generally used top uncover the trends in
opinions and thoughts to study deeply about the problem.
The research is done by using the qualitative research method in order to ascertain the
issue for the reason of demotivation among employees(Jones,Hillier and Comfort, 2016). The
qualitative research helps in finding the problems by deeply analysing the thoughts and views
of employees.
Research Approaches

generally two types of research approaches that is inductive research approach and deductive
research approach. Inductive approach is the approach in which new theory is being
generated which emerge from the data(Lim, 2016). It does not involve hypothesis formulation.
These are generally associated with the qualitative research whereas deductive approach is
the approach which begins with the hypothesis and it is aimed at testing of the theory.
Deductive approach are mostly associated with the quantitative approach. In this research
inductive approach will be used as it will considerer the qualitative data for ascertaining the
issue for employees demotivation.
Research Design
Research design will help to understand and define the type of the study that is
descriptive or experimental is chosen by the researcher. This can also be defined as the
framework of the techniques and methods which is chosen or selected by the researcher in
order to combine the different components of research(Lopes, 2016). There is generally two
types of research design that is descriptive and experimental. Descriptive is the type of
research design in which research is solely describe the issue or situation of their study's the
theory which involves gathering of data, analysing and presenting of data in order to describe
them efficiently.
Research Philosophy
It is the belief for the way in which the data is being gathered, analysed and used by the
researcher. There are generally two types of research philosophies that are positivism ans
interpretation(Metaxas, Chatzoglou and Koulouriotis, 2019). Positivism is the type of philosophy
which focuses on only the facts or the factual knowledge which can be gained through
observations with inclusion of the measurement.
Whereas Interpretivism is the type which involve the researcher to make interpretation
from the elements of the study tat us Interpretivism helps in integrating the human interest
into the study(Metaxas, Chatzoglou and Koulouriotis, 2019). The researcher will use the positivism

type of philosophy for limiting the data collection and make interpretation in an objective
manner.
Research Sampling
Sampling is the process which involves the selection of group of people, items or objects
from larger population. The sample are considered to be the representative of the entire
population. There are different types of sampling method that may be probabilistic and non
probabilistic(Al Yousuf, Taylor and Taylor, 2015). Probabilistic sampling is the technique where
sample are taken from given population in random basis that is randomization is used that is
there is equal chance to all for being selected.
Non probabilistic is the technique where randomization is not used that is there
selection is based on some criteria and selection does not happen on randomly basis.
Researcher will us the probabilist technique for sampling purpose in the research study to
avoid the biasness and to ascertain the most reliable outcome
Data collection
Data Analysis it is the process of inspection, cleansing, transformation and modelling
of the data with the aim of obtaining the useful information which helps in aiding the
decision making. There are two technique of data analysis that is quantitative research and
qualitative research(Aragon-Correa, Martin-Tapia, Torre-Ruiz, 2015). Quantitative research is used
when the data is collected by using the SPSS software or spreadsheet while qualitative data is
used and analysed by thematic analysis. The researcher will use the qualitative technique of
data analysis.
