INTRODUCTION
People belong from distinct cultures, religions and background work together at a place is
known as organisation. People perform several of economic activities for the purpose of earning
money to survive in this world. A person have several of neds and demand, so they have to do
the work for the purpose of fulfilling their all necessities. While doing any work, an individual
face several challenges at work place. It is necessary for people to effectively face all those
challenges and improve their performance. For the purpose of facing the specified challenges,
people are required to develop their skills and learning (Al-Dubai, M.M. and et. al., 2019). It has
been also found that the continuous learning is essential for individual to improve the
performance. This repost covers various factors which motivate the employees at work place. In
addition to this, it also deals with the positive and negative factors of employee experience as a
result of their job role.

Various factors that motivate the employees to work
Motivation refers to the the some total of all those activities which are performed for the
purpose of providing guidelines and initiating the employees at work place so that they can
perform well and help the management in achieving the organisational goals and objectives. It is
described as a continuous process which influence the people to do work. Various of factors have
been identified which motivate the people to do the work at work place in an effective and
efficient manner.
Maslow's Hierarchy theory: It is also defined as the model or theory of psychology
which motivate the people to do more effective work so that the individuals can fulfil their needs
in a pre decided manner (Fallatah, R.H.M. and Syed 2018). This theory has divided the human
needs in five stages in the shape of a pyramid. This theory plays an important role in motivating
the people to do the work for the purpose of moving up to the next level of motivation. Physiological Needs: It is most lowest stage in the pyramid of Maslow which include the
basic needs of human. Food, cloth and shelter are consider as the basic needs of
individuals. Mostly people work only for the purpose of satisfying their basic need for
livelihood.

which people work for the purpose of feeling safe. Safety of individual become the most
important need in order to live with their loved ones with happiness. Love and belongings: Human beings are living in a society. Hence, they want to be
socialized which is possible only by developing a relationship with others. At this level,
people work for making good relationship with other people at work place and in
personal life. Esteem needs: It is a stage under which people work for gaining self respect and esteem
(Fan, J. and et. al., 2021). These needs are being classified in two categories which
include esteem for oneself which include dignity, mastery independence and second one
is the desire for reputation or respect from others.
Self Actualization: It is the top most level of motivation in the pyramid of Maslow under
which the people develop concern with their personal growth and show less concerned
with the opinions of others.
Factors that motivate employees to work Salary: basically people work only for the purpose of earning money to satisfy their own
needs with their families. People get remuneration or pay in the exchange of doing work.
It is not consider as the long term factor of motivation but it provide short term
satisfaction to the people. It is consider as the basic need of people while doing work.
Hence, it can also be said that the people get motivation with the amount which they get
from employer for doing work. It may improve the performance of employees on
temporary basis. Rewards and recognition: If the employer provide several rewards and recognition to the
employees for their extra efforts at the work place. Getting rewards for their performance
motivate the employees to do the work by putting more efforts. Rewards can be provided
in financial or non financial terms (Walumbwa and et. al., 2018). The environment of
demotivation may arise at work place, if the employees will not get rewards or
recognition for their extra efforts which they put towards achieving the organisational
goals and objectives. It is necessary to provide some extra incentives or promotion to the
employees on the basis of their performance as it will highly influence the employees top
work more effectively.

employee experience negatively. It has been found that more than 25% of total time, the
management of business organisation is engage in resolving the issues which are being
raised at work place.
Excessive work load: Extra work load create stress and anxiety which implies effect on
the performance of employees. It is very difficult for employees to handle the work load
as it result in the reduction in the productivity of employees. Excessive work load effect
the physical and mental health of employees.
