AI Summary
This research project investigates the impact of employee motivation on the success and sustainability of an enterprise, using Marks & Spencer (M&S) as a case study. The project begins with an introduction outlining the importance of employee motivation in today's competitive corporate environment, emphasizing the role of human resources in achieving organizational goals. The literature review explores the existing body of knowledge on the subject, examining the effects of motivation on business success, including increased productivity, reduced employee turnover, and improved performance. The methodology section details the qualitative research approach, including data collection methods such as questionnaires, and the sampling techniques used to gather relevant information. The research aims to determine the impact of employee motivation on organizational success, analyze how motivation influences worker performance, identify key motivational factors, and explore relevant motivational theories applicable to M&S. The project also discusses various motivational theories, such as Maslow's hierarchy of needs, and how they can be applied to improve employee engagement and achieve better results. The findings are presented in the data analysis and findings chapter, followed by conclusions and recommendations based on the research.

CHAPTER 3: Methodology
Types of methodology: There are mainly two types of methodology which is used by

Qualitative: It is a primarily exploratory method of research which is followed to gain a

insights into the issue or support to create ideas for potential quantitative research.
Both are essential and important for collecting data from the respondents. But as per this research
topic, researcher will be used qualitative method because it provide accurate and proper
information about the topic.
Data Sampling: For collecting accurate and relevant amount of data, there are mainly
two types of data collection tools (Gillet and et. al., 2013). One is primary source and another
one is secondary information. Both methods are essential and useful for the researcher because
this provide accurate information from the respondents. In case of primary method, investigator
need to prepare a questionnaire that will support in gathering accurate information from the
customers. On the other hand, under secondary data, researcher use different sources such as
Books, journals, Magazines, articles, publication research and so on. All these aspects are also
assist in collecting proper amount of data towards research topic.
Limitation: One of the main limitation in this research is time which highly effect on
completing each and every activities of research in give time period.
Source of data: There are different sources of data such as questionnaire, interview,
report, articles and many other (Graves, Sarkis and Zhu, 2013). All these are useful but as per
research topic, investigator follow questionnaire and prepare it with the help of 30 respondents
through simple random sampling method.
