INTRODUCTION
The term motivation refers to a procedure which encourages or make person excited for
performing that specific work to achieve their aims. It helps to direct and maintain a person so
that he / she maybe able to achieve the goals. Motivation plays a vital role in employees life and
also in the organisation activities. As it is considered essential to encourage employee and make
work done at given time, so as to reach towards the aim and growth to make organisation
successful. In this report, it is discussed that how IOM Electronics Ltd. Motivates a employee
and leader also by using different tools and techniques so that they can perform well in the
organisation. Also it is been discussed that what impact an organisation and employees have on
the productivity and profits if manager makes employees motivated and , it affects the employee
working and creates a positive and negative experience on their jobs .
TASK
What does Motivation Mean?
Motivation is a process or action that encourages an individual. make them feel excited
so that they can achieve their goals and satisfy their need and demand. It is basically of 2 types
Extrinsic motivation : In this motivation come from outside that is given by others using
different tools. This can be done if some one is offering something valuable in return after the
completion of work.
Intrinsic motivation: In this motivation comes from inside as individual feel good if they
perform any work to satisfy personal demands. In this type of motivation individual do
something just because it gives them inner peace so(Ashkanasy and et.al, 2016) that they can feel
satisfied.
In an organisation it is necessary to motivate employees. Employee motivation refers to
encouraging an employee ad make their work excited so that they can perform well to achieve
their goals.
Motivation makes person eager and increase his willingness to work and they feel more happy
performing their work so that they can move towards a right track so as to achieve what they
desired for. There are various theories given by (Lin,Li, Lam, 2020)many philosopher which
helps to motivate the individual or an employee in the organisation by focusing on their needs
and help them to fulfil them.

The various factors which motivate employees to work
Employee motivation is very much necessary as helps them to perform their work in well
manner. Manager or leaders can encourage, appreciate or praise their performance so that
employee can feel motivated and work with full potential and efforts so that they can increase
their working efficiency and achieve(Choi,Behm-Morawitz,2020) targets on time. Motivating
employees can boost their performance , this increases their retention and morale and hence it
directly have a positive impact on the overall performance of company , as it creates good
atmosphere and increase their productivity and thus, increases the profitability of the company.
In context to IOM Electronics Ltd., there are various factor which can help to motivate the
employee they are:
Salary: It is the basic factor as to earn money employees used to work in the organisation. The
organisation must give fair salary and also make increment in it time to time as per the
performance criteria. The company must(Kim, 2017) give salary above the industry average so
that they can feel motivated by acquiring a little high amount than other companies.
Work Environment: There must be a healthy and friendly working environment presented in
the company which leads to occurrence of less disputes and help management in maintain unity,
harmony and smooth functioning of activity. This can make employees of IOM Electronics Ltd.
Feel happy and satisfied while working in such environment.
Promotion: It refers to promoting an employee at high designation so that they can feel
motivated to do more work so that they can leads towards achieving high position and enjoy
additional benefits. It is necessary in IOM Electronics Ltd., to promote their employees to high
position ,as this can create a competition between employees and everyone work with full efforts
to achieve high designation.
The positive factors employees experience as a result of their job roles
Positive factors help employees to get motivated build their skills, give them
opportunities t develop their career. So that they can perform well to achieve more benefits and
perform their work well.
Employees work in IOM Electronics Ltd. Have different department which are
interlinked with each other. This make(Choi, Asih,Polatin,2016) them learn how to
coordinate with one another so that they it can smoothen their working.

The managers listen all the issues and grievances of their employees and resolve them,
this makes them feel satisfied as employees get confidence and they feel sense of
belongingness if some one listens to their problems and solve it. This make them feel
motivated.
The managers do not pressurise the employees of the company, give them stress fee
atmosphere, by thus employee work with full excitement and with no worries.
Appreciating the performance, by giving rewards and recognition increase the morale of
employees, boost their calibre and this motivates them to do more work and perform
well to achieve organisation aims.
Some monetary benefits like bonus, increment in salary can attract employee towards its
achievement. This make employees to improve their performance and work efficiently so
like this they get motivated ad work accordingly to achieve those monetary benefits.
Managers of the company, include their (Grobelna, Marciszewska,2016) employees in
decision making and take their views and suggestions this make employees motivating
when management are considering as an active participant in their decision making
discussion. Hence, it gives positive impact and boost employee motivation and morale.
The negative factors employees experience as a result of their job roles
Employee must have negative experience which make them feel demotivated, and this
can generally make their working performance less efficient and simultaneously they feel
dissatisfy while working in such environment and and this can increase the absenteeism in the
company.
In the company IOM Electronics Ltd. the leader itself is lacking in many practical
responsibilities and requirements so there are circumstances which had lead to give negative
experience to the employees.
In context to the company, they do not have proper flow communication in the
organisation this create delay in conveying the )(Kanfer, Frese,Johnson, 2017) message
and it this communication barrier demotivate the employee.
The company has long working hours and the employee needs to perform same work for
a longer time on routine basis, this makes them lethargic and they get demotivation for
the job as it is not enriched with essential factors.

In IOM Electronics Ltd., the leader is not as much aware about the working, this creates
hindrance as the employees need to do most of the work on soft wares which are not
working properly and sometimes manually ( Irfan,Marzuki,2018)too. This affects the
mental health of employee and their morale gets decreased and they feel less interested in
performing the task.
Strategies to cope with negative factors employees experience as a result of their job roles
It is necessary for the IOM Electronics Ltd. Leader to first get adjust in the environment
and gain basic knowledge regarding the responsibilities and requirements of the company. This
can help company to plan strategies which can help employees to cope up with the negative
experience they have faced at their job roles. Some strategies can effectively help to cope up are
discussed below:
Managers need to maintain and adopt a flexible and proper flow of communication so
that the message and important can be conveyed to the respective levels fastly. So that the
employees get proper information at right time.
There must be flexible working hours for employee in which they can work with full
comfort and the organisation may not force them to work over time. (Nakamura, 2019)If
there is any need to perform their work for longer time then management must need to
pay extra for their efforts. So this gives a positive impact to them and they can work
without creating issues.
The company must enrich their jobs (Herzberg,2017)with some benefits so that the
employees feel excited while performing their jobs.
They must provide good technical support and good working soft wares so that there may
be less load of manual work and can perform efficiently using different techniques to.
This can lead to fasten the process of working and employees can also do their task easily
.

From the above report it is been concluded that, a company needs to have leader who is
capable of handling and take responsibilities of the organisation, they must have experience so
that they can manage the management activities. They also ned to focus on employee motivation,
and motivate their employees by identifying their needs and encourage them to do more and
