The research study has undertaken performing a detailed analysis of the present work
culture adopted by Ovolo Woolloomooloo, a hotel operating in Sydney in full swing. The
objectives thereby developed in relation to the research study resulted in it to specifically
focussed on motivation level of the employees. It is mainly due to the fact that the processes
identified in this regard tends to encompass factors integral to the work culture of the
organisation. The major aspect underlying the selection of Ovolo Woolloomooloo as a suitable
organisation is mainly due to the prospective operational activities of it in the present hospitality
industry. Furthermore, the success experienced by it is found to be centred around its employees
and their performance capabilities.
The data for the research study has collected using qualitative method. Primary data has
been gained from the process through face to face interview process. In this regard, semi
structure and open-ended questions has been developed for collecting data. The respondents have
bene selected using simple random sampling process, so as to ensure that final 10 selected
among all are capable of delivering the best output to action. Each of the interview processes
were conducted for a maximum time period of 60 minutes. One of the significant process
relating to interview method of data collection is that the interviewer was able to gain additional
information from the collected set of data. The interview process comprised of 7 questions in
total, each of them strongly related to the present problem area.
The data obtained from the interview process was found to possess immense significance
in highlighting the present operational scenario of Ovolo Woolloomooloo. It further went ahead
with identifying the strategies as well as the relevant significance of employees when it comes to
organisational efforts in delivering high degree of motivation. It is to be noted that the employees
have gone ahead with providing a moderate review in relation to the degree of motivation

experienced by him or her. This is mainly due to the fact that employee have exhibited a
sceptical thought in relation to their motivation level experienced within the organisational
context. Due to the consideration of both lower and middle level workforce for the data
collection process, information thereby collected to possess immense significance in performing
a detailed analysis of employee motivation.
The employees during the interview process enlightened on the fact that Ovolo
Woolloomooloo has exhibited high degree of effectiveness in developing a positive and
coordinated workforce. The employees are provided with necessary help and support so that they
are largely able to accomplish their organisational tasks with high degree of effectiveness.
Furthermore, direct communication among subordinates and managers ensured that the gap in
between two operational levels is largely overcome. As managers and supervisors were always
accessible, therefore the employees went ahead with developing a sense of trust, confidence as
well as attachment towards the organisations. The feeing thereby developed tends to have a
direct impact on their motivation level, which in the long run results in benefiting the hospitality
organisation significantly. Furthermore, it is to be also noted that the compensation structure was
also capable of motivating the employees. However, the sceptical and uncertain thoughts
observed in the minds of the employees was mainly due to the fact that they felt that the
managers are involved in some form of biasness or unfair attitude. According to employees such
incident is found to have taken place during the performance appraisal and recognition process.
It is identified to be the major reason contributing to development of uncertainty in relation to
experiencing high degree of motivation towards Ovolo Woolloomooloo.
